I got a big problem right now.
One day, the game I opened the game(And for the record, I have all the expansion packs for Spore, Bot Parts included), and when it went to the galaxy screen, it said "Updating Content Databases", then it gave me all the X Stage Unlocked achievements again, and now all of my buddies' creations are gone, and all the empires and creatures in the Space stage are scrambled up! I've been trying to re-download them, but I'm also trying to find a fast way to fix everything, and the topic I made awhile back isn't getting any replies. Help!

In galactic adventures i go to the sporepedia and try to quickplay but almost every adventure has a red circle with a red diagonal line through it and i cant play it how can i fix this?



Also when im in space stage i will click on a star and my ship will move a little from the star its at but then the game freezes and i have to shut down to do anything else. Why is this happening and what can i do to fix it.

Hi! For some reason whenever i start GA it seems to think im running core spore instead.
and when i hit esc to skip the little logo scene thing the logo then shows up as this.



then when i try to open up the sporepedia it looks like this:



this makes all the creations totally unreadable and impossible to see.

This first started when i opened up GA and it did the updating content database thing. Any help would be apreciated! Thank you!
Oh btw. The game also seems to think i dont have the C&C and GA parts installed yet i DO!

Hi,why is there a Music Tab in the Sporepedia?

Hi complicated question here... okay i recently got a new spore because the old on the center of the cd tlook som damage and would not consequentially stay in place i used the new code and then the code for my galctic adventures game and even though the website had held my screennames all my other data was wiped what should i do? also i am having trouble getting the achievements to unlock the other stages even though i played through them all once is this due to a bad server conection? i thought it might be because i am on a wireless conection modem hub thingy. Not very technical, i know but i'm not an engineer.

I reinstalled my computer and made it as if it were brand new, but when I reinstalled spore with the discs, I don't have any of my captains, ships, galactic adventures, or anything. I only have my characters from the original spore, like only my creatures, not empire captains or city leaders. is there anyway of retrieving them?
I also lost all my "recently downloaded" characters that I downloaded from before.

How can I remove creatures individually without removing an entire space in the palette of creatures?

okay, here's a problem i KNOW many people have with GA.

it has to do with the animations.
okay, so im playing GA for the first time, and, guess what...
NONE OF THE ORIGINAL ANIMATIONS WORK!!!
in the game, after clicking on something, be it food, or an exploding pie, nothing happens. nothing. at all.
and then 40 seconds later, my creature will pick up the pie.
then in the creature creator, none of the original animations work, neither does walk or run, and in the game, whenever you bring up the screen to communicate with other races/factions in the civilisation/space age, theres nothing. no sound, no actions, they just stand there, and it is ANNOYING
also i notices some things like in the creature stage, where if you're a canivore, the creature that is meant to be dead near your first nest, is alive but cannot be interacted with.

and Asymmetry doesn't work to boot!

Help please! My son loves this game, but has been unable to play it for weeks now because it will no longer upload. Whenever he clicks on the GA icon, the game goes through all the little video intros and appears to be running, right up until the point where the uploading should start. At that point, the Spore symbol freezes and does not spin like it should -- and no matter how long we wait, it never does start spinning. If we leave it long enough, the uploading screen just disappears, but the game never actually uploads and starts. Any suggestions???

Have you tried looking through the stickied post that is the compendium of many spore issues (spore has many)? I found this one...

You should try it.

Sometimes this happens because your package files have become corrupt and need to be regened. That same thread will have information about regenning the package files. It's important to know how to do that and to save/backup your data.

Sometimes it's best to backup and then regen, and if that doesn't work, reinstall, and then replace your backup files.

I know, as a user you shouldn't have to go to these extremes, but it's not bad after the first time you do it. Truly.

I was pretty PO'd when I had to do it the first time. Try that. It usually works, and your son should not lose any of his creations (and also, they are always on his MySpore page).

Hope this helps. Perhaps another user will have more information, but that's where I would start.

I recently downloaded GA, but at the start of the install, it told me it was going to update. I thought this was odd, since I downloaded the patch, but continued due to a lack of other options. However, installsheild quickly stated the following:
"SPORE patching did not complete. Please try to patch
SPORE again later or contact customer support for more
information."
Followed by the SPORE GA was not installed sucessfuly message.
Now, it's apparently permanently depatched me to 1.0, as I'm prompted to install Patch 1.5 every time I start spore.
I tried updating several times with the same results.
And GA still refuses to update, and therefore will not install.
Yes, I did try the Windows 7 64-bit fix for the update.

Do you have Bot Parts? If you do, you will need to reinstall the game, as patch 1.5 MUST be installed before Bot Parts. Once you install Bot parts, it blocks out any older updates, this is a bug. The recommended installation order is: Spore > C&C > GA > Patch 1.5.1 > Bot Parts (leave out any you don't have)

I have been having problem's with spore lately including game play Issues. Well in game there are dancing tree's and i cannot interact with anything as seen in my video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NB1VlR-IDgA&list=UUtVGRolCtZy66FqYB2XtpQA&index=1&feature=plcp) I cannot firght i cannot eat i cannot do anything or at least the animation isent working properly for it?
