Thanks, guys!

LichDrag (mind if I called you that?), nice! If the right limb is only for reproduction, the skeletal profile's ok, as food won't have to be transported through it.

I just had an idea for a new fish (or perhaps air creature).

P.S.

Hi. I'm a teenaged South African / Swede-to-be. A few things about me: I have a science obsession. I write and worldbuild in the realm of speculative fiction. I am highly liberal. I am an Agnostic Panentheist. I am a bi-curious homosexual. (Any problem with the last three is your own, thank you very much.) I am probably still alive. Left this place a long time ago. I can now be found here and here. I am now known as "Valdin", "TemporalV01D" and "SPACE_LEMON" because "DudeMan95" is a turdly username. DudeMan95 also had bad spelling and an occasional douchy attitude. My apologies. That is all. Enjoy the rest of your existence.

Well, actually both limbs use that same split limb part but the left limb's less noticeable. And actually I'm usually referred to as "Lichen". I might try wipping up a couple more creatures for this in a little while.

Ah.

Well, I still say "Lich" sounds better. XD

Anywho, I'd love it if you made more. I also commented on one of your creatures that many of your current creatures are near perfect and simply require minor edits.

So, if you're not thinking about turning your own xenoplanets into novels like I'm doing with this, I see no reason for you not to take shortcuts by using them. Unless ofcaurse you don't want to spoil their awesomeness with edits, of caurse.

Anyway, the limbs are still ok. The thickest of the bones could probably carry the asophagi (asophagus ploral?).

Unless some one was making a horror movie I'm not sure if there are too many instances where the plural of asophagus is used. But I'll go with 'I'. And my creature sets aren't necessarily "Xenoplanets". They're just collections of creatures. There so many crappy Xenoplanets they're almost like Clark and Stanley. Parkaboy's are excellent and are a few others but most are, eh, a tad bit iffy.

Which is why I'm just sticking to my own planetary terms. I actually did try starting out trying to create a little world some time ago but sadly that never really got completed or even really started.

Ah, I see.

So, are you going to edit and use some of them? Of caurse you don't have to, but please do if you want to. ^^

Ok, the Wiki's up. Now, what should I use for the Wiki logo?

A) "NewLife Wiki" with Novusvita background

B) "NewLife Wiki" with Xen'vi background

C) "NewLife Wiki" with both features

Please vote on the poll.

Species Name: Duosoffa cervus

Native Name: Tai'Leea

Human Nickname: Renne, Santa's Dinos, Reindeer Lizards,

Location: The Tai'Leea or Renne can be found in vast herds across the northern areas of Novusvita such as Siera, Gia, the North Shore and Thera.

Taxonomy: Life --> Imperia --> Disymmetra --> Ferecorda --> Duososida --> [Order] --> [Peratergum] --> [Duosoffa] --> [cervus]

Habitat: The Tai'Leea is indigenous to the tundra and forests that dominate the polar regions of Novusvita much like modern Earth Caribou and Elk do today. Migrating across the Northern reaches carries the Tai'Leea through both tundra, forest and ice sheets.

Appearance:

Diet: The Tai'Leea is a Imperiavore feeding on members of Photosyntha and also some more advanced species of Hydroplantae.

Special Anatomy: The Tai'Leea is similar to other members of its genus with its bipedial stance and danger-like feed tools. Tai'Leea are symmetrical creatures and instead of separate feeding and mating organs such as found in species like the Myo'Spi'S. Instead they have two separate but similar probosces of which the large thicker is used for stabbing into trunks or slurping up jelly-like Hydroplantae.

The smaller proboscis is used for mating. During mating males and females copulate by "holding hands". The female then twists her forelimbs above her back and using the sharp feeding proboscis cuts small slits in her two humps. She then releases the fertilized eggs into the humps. Of her 8-26 eggs she releases into her humps only two, one in each hump, will have been fertilized. When the young Tai'Leea hatches in her humps they will feed on the other unfertilized eggs. In about four weeks the young Tai'Leea will with their forelimbs make a slit in their mothers humps and, like most young of their genus, will cling to their mother's back till they mature to the point that they can walk.

Two large fleshy antennae-like organs on the back of each hump make for mating and signaling displays. These can flask yellow, red and purple to warn of predators and to help males attract the attention of a female.

Below the humps are the Tai'Leea's legs and feet. The two toes of the Tai'Leea have fused together to form hooves. Their legs are heavily muscled to support the size of the Tai'Leea and to help give it the speed it needs to escape the tundra predators.

On their heads their eyes are quite different then most members of their genus. They are mounted on top of short antennae and can only detect light and shadow, along with the ability of smell, a rarity in their genus in which most predators and herbivores find food using sight or electrosensory. this ability of smell gives the Tai'Leea an edge against some other arctic predators, including predatory members of its own genus. Two small barbles beneath the Tai'Leea's head detect colors but not clear images. These are needed since the Tai'Leea's normal eyes can no longer detect the colors from the flashing displays of potential mates. Tai'Leea easily SPORE when subjected to flashing colors that do not register as mating displays. More then one human explorer has been trampled by these rhino sized aliens.

Description/Uses/Other: Tai'Leea migrate constantly feeding on the tundra Hydroplantae and sap of tree-like Photosynthaens. Their herds can reach sizes of up to 2,000 animals and easily scour the land scape as they pass through their ancient migration routes. For many northern natives whether sentient of not they are often the life support through out the harsh winters. For the sentient natives they are as the buffalo was to the Plains Indians of Earth. Their bones make tools and their hides clothing and shelter. Their meat keep stomachs full. Un-like Earth reindeer however they are extremely hard to tame and are near impossible to raise in captivity.

Oh! Lol. When I commented on that I didn't realise it was a Novusvitan! XD Ignore the comment, then.

Anywho, to help you with the diet:

Firstly, instead of herbivore, carnivore and omnivore, it's the following:

Liquivore - A liquivore is a Novusvitan organism that feeds off members off the Liquiphita domain. Liquiphites are incredibly simply organisms that exist as cell-less blobs (basically one huge cell), strands or pools of liquid. This liquid is made up of water, genetic matter, ensimes and sometimes organells. A few species photosinthisise - these bellong to the Hydroplantae class. They "eat" through osmosis or other forms of obsorbsion. Most are liquivires themselves, abiovores or imperiavores.

Mineravore - A mineravore is an organism that consumes members of the Minerallia domain. Mostly oeganisms can't only eat Mineralites because they are made out of minerals. Mineralites are organisms who are not made up of cells, but instead organise themselves into crystaline growths by consuming minerals. Basically, they do not "eat" in the general sence, instead taking up minerals out of the soil around them and using it to grow as crystals, but much, much faster. They usually gain energy through sunlight, though none photosinthisise. Most are abiovores, though meravorous or even imperiavorous species exist.

Imperiavore - An imperiavore is an organism that eats members of the Imperia domain. Imperians are orsanisms with definate cell structures (without the criteria of nucleus, as prokaryotic species exist). Imperians are the most diverse group, divided into three quite different kingdoms: Presymmetra - organisms with no definate symmetry, such as many unicellular organisms or even some unisymmetrical worms; Trisymmetra - organisms with tripple symmetry that range from worm- to strarfish-esque creatures to vaguely spider- and plant-like species. As you're looking for photosynthisising organisms, the closest to plants you're going to get it the Trisymmetra phylum Photosyntha, which are tripple symmetrical organisms with primitive hearts, bloodvescles and even lungs that play the role of plant. Some species have roots, branches, leaves, etc. but all of them have photosinthysising cells.

Abiovore - Quite simply, abiovores eat abiotic (non-living/non-organic) things. Fin.

So, if you want to have a strictly herbivorous species, put this in your diet slot (without the italics):

Liquivore/Imperiavore - Consumes mainly members of the Hydroplantae and Photosyntha groups.

Or

Imperiavore - Consumes mainly members of the Photosyntha group.

Or

Liquivore - Consumes mainly members of the Hydroplantae group.

Sorry if this is confusing. This is what happends when you try to be too alien.

Oh, and about the pic. I'd love to do it and I will as soon as I can, but my game's still busted. As soon as it allows me to use feet and edit creatures with feet (wtf!?) again I'll do both your creatures aswell as the_N's + finish my other as of yet footless creatures.

Okay, thank you for that information, expect a description soon. I need to start tagging my entries for this, I'm not sure why I haven't been since I tag everything else.

@Lich: No prop.

@Xenologist: Thanks! ^^

@Everyone: I think I'll have to make taking pics of your creature a requirement for as long as I can't use my game (or at least edit creatures with feet).

See the OP(s) for a tutorial on how to do this.

Hey! I tried making a Hydroplantae creature. It's called the Glow Flyer. I would put a picture of it but I don't know how. I don't know the link either. Dudeman you can check it out on www.spore.com on my stuff. BTW this is johnsonia.
