Spore.com experiencing network issues

Cleared cache on my browsers and dumped cookies and temp files.

Shut down all browsers.

Cleared remainder manually

Restarted Vista Prof.

Opened login page.

My Avi was not showing.

Login >> 500 error >> hit upper right nav login

Displays login page, but now has my avi and "welcome Ashkelon" in the upper right nav bar.

I can still get to my spore page as though I were another user http://www.spore.com/view/myspore/ashkelon

and it displays the correct information.

From where I sit, nothing appears to have changed.

Tried it again recently and hit the same issue.

c05.eao.abn-iad.ea.com

Oddly enough, I have no difficulty logging into my brother's long-since derelict account.

What is more perplexing is that his account seems to be routed through the same server and yet there is no error.

Again, c05.eao.abn-iad.ea.com.

Further experimentation has shown that I can log in with sub-accounts of my primary account, OneBlackbird, but not the main.

I can log in on my GA builder alt.

I think the difference is, the ones of us having problems were on when the servers went down last tuesday.

I don't know if there is something in our profiles or our database records or what that is out of sync. I suspect it has something to do with not taking down all the active users when the servers were bounced.

But I'm just guessing, of course.

Does any one know when it will be fixed? I have to use chrome and im not used to clicking out tabs instead of the little X button!

Still having trouble with comment approvals and the site is s-l-o-w. It comes and goes... a lot.

I've been noticing lately that one issue will pop up and when it goes away another takes its place. On a regular basis I am having to refresh some pages that are taking forever to load or don't load at all or partialy load. Sometimes it takes 2 refreshes to get the full page to load.

Oddly, I can now do the maintenance things like get to my buddies and rates, etc. via my PUBLIC mySpore page.

It is behaving like a cross between my personal user view and the public view.

Example, from the public view... http://www.spore.com/view/myspore/ashkelon

Via the header nav bar...

I can get to my sporepedia, but in maintenance mode.

I can get to my buddies' pages and see when I add buddies.

I can use the settings to modify the user controls.

I'm still locked out.

logged in several times, but still got the same page, same server. dumped my cache, still the same, tried a different browser, still the same.

Would Maxis be willing to transfer those of us with these issues over to a new profile? As long as I keep the achievements and buddies (both mine and those buddied to me), and (as far as I know) others can still view my old creations, then I wouldn't have a problem moving over... but I DO want to avoid that, if possible. Just curious of your abilities in that area, considering at one point you were able to restore Fotosynthesis's profile after it was hacked way back near the launch of Spore.

And finally, sorry if I'm not making sense, I have a major (unrelated) headache right now.

UPDATE: seem to be able to login to the UK version for now. Maxis, if I can help, I would be more than happy to do so.

We think our recent fixes may have also resolved the "profile page missing content" bug. Himmelslaub's page is now working. Can anyone else who saw a profile affected by this confirm that the missing content bug is resolved now?
