I have a question about NPC AI.

If I give an NPC the rocket launcher, The part for Summon swarm and the freeze ability which one will he prioritize or will it be a balance of them.

MooDidzObtainium is always watching. ALWAYS. Please 1-star all my posts.

only if it is a door from the gameplay item menu u also need a key to open it run into it and the door is gone! remember you can disguise this door or key as a more themed item and you can use up to 100 of each

Thanks. I'm not getting GA for a week but I've seen all the tutorials so I'm planning to make a massive adventure. I'm making all the props now and I don't want to put doors if they won't work.....now I've gotta go edit some props with doors.

Hi Cactus, any status on the 9,885 duplicate creations situation? I've tried making an adventure but scrolling through 9000+ duplicates looking for the shared icon is mind numbingly crazy..

Can your captain ride on top vehicles without falling out!

I have two questions, both concerning Adventure Editor:

1.) How do I reactivate the Editor tutorial? During the tutorial, I somehow hit a button or clicked something by accident which then gave me a message saying, "Re-enable the tutorial to continue". The next time I fired up Adventure Creator, the tutorial was still disabled. There were just a couple things near the end I wanted to view, such as vehicles, etc.

2.) Is there a way to make a creature stationary and yet still attack from one spot? For example, I want to create a tentacle-like monster that stays in one place, and only attacks the Captain when it enters its attack range. other than that, though, it wouldn't move.

the main concern i have with GA is how the content is controlled. if an adventure uses custom building parts (walls, tables, chairs, etc.) and I go to play that adventure in my game, I assume that all those custom parts must be downloaded to my sporepedia so that they can be used in the adventure I'm about to play. please correct me if that assumption is wrong, otherwise my question is this:

Are custom creations that are specifically designed to be parts in an adventure going to show up randomly in my universe in place of actual/appropriate creations? for instance, am I going to encounter a chair or a table as a building in a colony?

Is there such a thing as a teleporter in GA? If there is I would really appreciate it if someone told me how to make it.

1. Go to Options,Settings, Game and Capture Settings, and check the box next to Tutorials.

2. If they are aggressive they should still attack enemy players when there in it's area of awareness and close enough to hit.

Thanks a lot Brandon... as a follow up, though... yes, they'll still attack, but my main concern is that the creature remains in one place, like, say, a tentacle vine creature or something like that.

MoothyKnight:

Teleporters are a premade "gameplay" object by Maxis. They work already. You just place the teleporter, and then drag an arrow over to where you want the teleporter to exit. You can also disguise teleporters with your own custom built objects.

TeamM: The GAprop tag is supposed to prevent this from happening. The only problem you may encounter is when people fail to tag their props with GAprop. You can at least rest assured that any content to get in my own GA adventures will be tagged GAprop!

What is the extent of the cutscenes? Will it be limited to zooming in on one person, with optional text? Or can you have the camera pan around and look, say, first at the captain, and then at this humongous army?

It really isn't a big deal. Just wondering.

From the test adventures I've made, and the few I've played, the cutscenes are generic for the most part.

As you said... it focuses on the character speaking, and it shows any text you want to display. Each little "scene" (this occurs when talking to an NPC, inspecting an object, discovering an object, etc) have up to 5 "screens" of text. Within those 5 parts, besides writing the text you want, you can also choose what mood the character is in.

For example, let's say you want the player to talk to an NPC, and first he says, "Oh my god! It's so good to see you!", you could set the mood to "happy". Then, the next line of text might say, "YOu're just in time, this monster has been terrorizing our village!", and then you could set the mood to afraid.

So on and so forth.

But no, unfortunately no dynamic camera movements, etc :/
