I recently came back to spore after being obsessed with Starcraft 2 for.... well for a long time.
I made my travels through cell, creature, tribal and civilization, and eventually made it to space.

Now I was playing for not to long, and I wanted to make something special of this space stage. I wanted to search for something rare. I remembered a long time ago when I discovered my first ever cube planet, and how everyone thought it wasn't a cube planet because it didn't "have enough land" and maybe it "confused" some people into thinking it "wasn't" a cube planet. Admittedly, my picture was bad, but I eventually conviced some flamers it WAS in fact a cube planet.

So, I wanted to find another, better one.
I was going through my first mission (finding the "Grox999" security thingamahwhats), and I was leaving that star system, when I saw a very peculiar Green spice, barren planet. I took another look, and I couldn't believe my eyes:

It was a waterless, "backwards" cube planet. Oddly, the land where water should be on a cube planet was raised above the trenches that created a cube.

Here's another view:

I then got bored with that creature, so I started a wanderer Creature. Within another 5 minutes, I found yet another cube planet, this time it was the homeworld of another race.

(picture soon)

So this led me to two ways to explain these fast findings of cube planets.
1) I have INCREDIBLE luck.
or
2) Cube planets are not as rare as we thought.

I might be missing something blatantly obvious, like everyone knew they were not very rare, but I think its kinda cool.

Post any picture you have so we can maybe find all the different types of cube planets.

I remember when I first heard about it, I never found one. I think my first was a moon. Now I find them very often, especially as my first planets' moons.

The first time i found one was in one of my anti-grox crusades. Then i found more, and more, all on grox teritorry.
I found very many relic planets there, One i found a cube planet with 2 relics, the grox territory is full of rares.
Now, i know the 'no picture, no happen' thing, but i once found a cabbage planet on grox territory.

I saw one when I went over to a friend's house. I convinced her to take a screenshot, but she's a bit hard-headed when it comes to going on a forum to show it, so.. I don't have proof, you just have to believe me

I never found one myself, I didn't know they existed till I saw it at her house, I thought it was so cool.

I would love to help you advertise by putting your contest in my sig, I would love to join your protest, but I would much rather everybody see a purple wavy smiley in my signature.

If you quote me for any reason, you shall become a purple wavy smiley (But for your sake stay on topic)

I lied, I want to advertise my stuff.. See my art http://cons14.newgrounds.com/ http://snail-city.deviantart.com/

Thomas- Yes I am.

Clockwork- Maybe he didn't have enough time to explore? Maybe his game/computer broke? Maybe he has a life?

Just because it's new for him and old for you, doesn't mean he can't be proud and show it to the community. There's still plenty of people who've never seen these. Took me long enough to find one.
