When doing a custom paintjob on a vehicle (could possibly also apply to buildings, but not sure), sometimes, if I tap undo, certain parts of the vehicle or building will turn textureless:

Now, I thought this was just a minor problem, but there are a few barbs; parts that turn texutreless will stay textureless, even if you paint over them. If you paint more stuff, then just tap undo once, bam. It's texture is gone completely, and a redo won't restore it. What you have to do is manually take off each piece that's got the glitch on it and then replace it with new ones.

Hunky Dory. But it's really freaking annoying when you're designing a vehicle, and just as you're about to put some finishing touches onto your vehicle, some parts, which were very precisely angled, scaled, or placed in general, will turn textureless and you'll have to spend way too much time trying to reposition them correctly. Sometimes, like in the 2nd example, you have to reconstruct the entire thing.

An ingame/baked model with this problem will have the affected areas have a random jumble of black, white, red and yellow stuff that, of course, makes no sense and doesn't look good. I don't think I've heard anyone else discuss this problem, so I need some tips on how to fix this. I've got an ATI RADEON X800GT, got the newest drivers, did a graphics cache cleanout... Even now, I'm not sure if it's still in effect for me, because it happens so seldom, but also at the worst times. Anyone have other experiences with a problem like this?

This makes me think that it's a graphics card problem, but you've already taken the advice I'd give. Have you ever viewed the creations on another computer? Any friends with the game to check?

Hmm...

Try perhaps setting your Lighting setting to medium or low as a work around.

Maybe. Check this creation in the creator and see if those pipes don't look normal.

If they look like they should, with proper shading, then it's clearly something on my end. If it appears blue/very strangely colored, then it has to be some sort of paint programming fess-up.

I already was on medium lighting. Low lighting... I'm not exactly fond of having everything matte, I'm afraid.

Unfortunately, that's not going to work for anyone, because you posted the "large" PNG file.

You'd have to post the small one for us to be able to put it in our game.

Bump? Due to the fact I can't paint over textureless items for whatever reason, I really think this is some sort of error...

It happened again. Seriously, can someone check the above creation if it looks strange in the editor or not? I really want to know if this is the game or my computer.

Happened after a nice long play of the game straight from cell stage to tribal... And also, for some reason my lighting was on High when I swear I had set it to Medium...

Dangit, happened AGAIN.

This time I've confirmed that it seems to only occur on vehicles; Buildings seem to paint fine enough, but the vehicles? At some point, some parts ALWAYS seem to lose texture. It seems to happen more often to weapons than other parts as well.
