Really the only thing lacking in this thread is an invocation of Godwin's Law where EA is compared to H.itler.

True. But it's also a failure to secure REPEAT business.

Since the release of Spore, EA has lost over $500 in purchases that I had previously intended to make. My money has instead gone to their competators. Businesses who do not treat me like a criminal or a fool. With customer service departments that do not fill me with despair and indignation whenever I have to call them.

EA's inability to say "We're sorry for the problems you've experienced. Let us issue you a refund" has assured that the $50.00 I paid for Spore is the last of my money they will ever receive.
