This.

Personally, I dislike the current combat mechanism. It is not satisfying, fun, exciting, or any positive abjective. So, instead of this MMO format, we make it more morphology driven. If you have a guy with large muscles, he should be able to oneshot these small jerks with parts folded into themselves. If you have a guy who is small, he would be fast enough to avoid your blows. If you have a guy who is really big (and stop normalizing our size!), then other animals with a ratio of at least 1:2 should flee from you.

Additionally, this "cuteness" is a major turn-off for me. IMHO, animals are cute just as they are. Adding flowers, googly eyes, and stripes do not make them cute, it makes them look retarded. Exaggerated animations, facial expressions, and this whole "social" set of abilitys.

Really, in the wild, the only things who would give a SPORE about your flowers would be your own species.
Tigers don't care if you have a flower on your head, he will still rip you the SPORE apart.

My sister would never, ever, ever play creature stage again if there was no social abillities, she hates killing things, even in video games. She is just one of many people who play the social game because they hate to kill, even if the object that is being killed is purely virtual.

I am glory incarnate, though fallen I may be, I am the most glorious one.

CELL STAGE
-MORE PARTS!
-All of a cells abilities are passive at the moment. Why not add some more active, creature-stage-esque abilities? Manually-puffing poison?
-I want my cell to divide, dagnabbit!
-A part which makes your cell a pathogen. Like, any cell you attack will have DoT, but will earn you less meat chunks? I don't know, I just really want to be a big bad microbe.
-Make legs slowly evolve on the cell. It's a bit iffy when you're playing your cell and suddenly "Oh hey there! Well done on beating cell stage, have some legs!". Like, perhaps every time you are reborn, you are given bigger, aesthetic, optional leg stumps to stick on.
-In the 2006 demo I specifically remember Will Wright stuck spikes on his cell via some sort of appendage. I want that.
-Editing vertebrae length.[/list]

AQUATIC STAGE
-Make it

CREATURE STAGE
-Muuuch more depth
-Varying species populations.
-More Random Encounters- at the moment there is only the spaceships and the epic creatures.
-Other species compete amongst themselves.
-Own nest may sometimes be attacked. As it is, it's a little one-sided.
-Scavenger option. Increases the chance of finding free food on the ground, but predators may be nearby.
-Tribes to explore/raid.

yea they cant really get rid of the social features, cuz it would unbalance the game, even a game like spore has to be a little unrealistic, but i get your point, i hate the googly eye'd flower headed creatures, in fact, the higher the social aspect of a creature, the more i want to kill it. cuz it just looks silly

The man who makes it doesn't want it, the man who wants it doesn't need it, and the man who needs it doesn't know it. What is it?

There is a square house with every wall facing north and there is an animal outside. Where is the house located, and what animal is outside of it?

PM me for answers or if you think you know the answers. Dont post the answers and ruin the fun.

Why is there no cockpit view in the space stage? I had hoped galactic adventures would bring this. Hopefully a patch in the future can give us this option. That whole idea people were saying about adding your own ships to your own fleet would be nice too.

CREATURE EDITORS:
1.) Be able to load more advanced stages into earlier stages. I had an incident where I had deleted a creature from the Sporepedia and accidentally deleted it locally as well. I had a Space Stage and Tribal Stage stored locally but no Creature Stage. I know there are hacks out there that enable this (many broken by GA) but it seems about as obvious as the desire for asymmetry.

BUILDING EDITORS
1.) Be able to load buildings in different building type's editors. I've often created a building that with very minor changes I would have liked to have used as a different type. Some of these didn't even use type-specific parts, and all I wanted to do was change a few colours for different types. For example, I prefer very simple buildings, three to five parts, relatively small, where color is the only difference between them. Having to recreate the building each time causes consistency problems.

SPACE STAGE
1.) Right-click to buy! The current system requires two clicks to purchase an item as well as mouse movement. For buying one item, it'd be GREAT if I could just right-click the item once and I'm done.

2.) More money! The current max of 99,999,999 can be annoying to us long-haul players who may end up sitting on tons of spice when we could just sell it and be done with it so we don't go over max wallet. Believe it or not, some of us play our galaxy so long we can make that much money easily by well-documenting our storage sites and our generation sites and farming spice so that when we find a buyer, we can sell a thousand units to them before their price shifts. Imagine selling off 990 (ten trips) of purple spice at 58,485 and right there you're at over half max money. Double that (not all that time consuming) with 1980 units, and you're over max. Even one more digit would be nice without messing up the unsigned long integer format for this value.

3.) For the high rollers -- A Buy All button. Yes, Buy All, meaning, "If this colony has it and I am not maxed out of it, I want it." Considering the potential costs of such a purchase, I wouldn't mind much if I had to click a verify button for this (after all, it saves me potentially dozens, even a hundred or more, clicks).

4.) Spice box counts -- an indication of how much spice a container holds. It is not a good thing to wonder if you just hauled up a 99 unit box of purple spice when you had 50 in your cargo hold already, losing the excess 50, or picking up a box and getting to your destination to realize it didn't have nearly enough to max you out.

5.) Warehouse planets. Like a Wildlife Sanctuary planet, a planet with a special interface. Make this essentiallya colony that can hold up to 10,000 units of each type of spice, with 0 for sell and buy prices -- and remembers amounts between visits. This way I can "sell" 99 units of, say, yellow spice, and get nothing for it but then later when I find a planet looking to buy yellow spice at max price, I can fly to my warehouse planet, "buy" the 99 units back for 0 sporebucks, then go sell it.

ROBOTICS CREATOR I would like to see a robotics creator similar to the creature creator and the galactic adventures captain outfitter, almost like a combination of the two. with instead of organic parts you'll have access to mechanical limbs and features as well as weapons and you will begin with instead of a fleshy blob, more like an assortment of bionic or robotic bodies. (it would only be applicable to the galactic adventures expansion of course, or possibly the space stage) but its something that would just make things alot easier when attempting to make bots and mechs .

DIVINGI would like to be able to explore underwater and possibly incorperate that into my adventures.

FLORA CREATOR/EDITOR I have always wanted to create my own flora, and now that Galactic adventures is out I wish I could use it even more to incorperate my own flora into my adventures.

PLANET SIMPLIFYER Just a terraforming tool idea that effects the entire planet by making the whole thing flat and featureless, for quick leveling just for either urban or indoor adventures.

ADVANCED PAINTING TOOLS I would like to be able to make my own textures to use in paint mode (also on a side note it would be cool to add in a freehand tool where you can write or draw on buildings, vehicles, armor or even your creatures skin (eg. grafiti, damage marks, scars or tatoos) either that or at least have an isignia stamping tool where you can stamp say an empire's emblem on your buildings or vehicles to make them alot more unique)

thats about it, thanks.

RE: Galactic Adventures
ITEM: Jump Pad
DESIRED: Use Counter

The jump pad has a single action: MOVE TO
Yet, it has a respawn option and MOVE TO has a #_of_GOALS edit box
However, if I set an act goal of MOVE_TO JUMP_PAD 3 (times)
... all three MOVE_TO are completed the first time you move to the jump pad.

I desire either:
1) an addition of another goal besides MOVE TO which allows counted uses

-OR-

2) enhancement of MOVE TO allowing #_of_GOALS to act as
... ... a completion counter for moving to target X # of times

RE: Galactic Adventures Editor
Request: Placeable snap to grid for surface alignment

What I want it to do:

1) align to globe (ie not to surfaces)
2) have an area of effect (ie awareness)
3) rotatable (ie defines any vector, aligned to a smooth planetary surface, as north)
4) autoalign any object placed within its aoe to its relative vector
... (ie it's vector indicates north pole 90 degrees away, its center indicates equator 90 degrees from vector)

Reason for request:
Whereas we currently get placement relative to planetary north, in creating various locations I am constantly needing a 'local' heading to help place buildings. Maybe a lighting effect in the nature of a laser level.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before (search doesn't show "threads only"), but I would like:

1) Pose Mode. You know, get a creature (or make it), dress it up, then give it an expression and pose all of its parts for a picture. For example, a ferocious warrior could be given a mean look and be reaching for his pistol. As it stands, you're limited to the assortment of emotes given to you in the editor (doubles with the C&C parts pack, although some like "Bees" are somewhat useless), and the camera is a bit clumsy in that you can only really look at the creature within about a hemisphere area, which means you need to set the angle, click the emote and hit C as soon as you get the look you want. With the poser, you could set up your creature in any fashion, then get the shot at your leasure (think: posing ragdolls in Garry's Mod).

2) Adventure Creator Debugger. Basically some kind of switch or command that lets me view every aspect of a creature or vehicle (current energy/health levels, current action and action target, if any) to assist in perfecting the adventure and solving any issues with the AI.

3) Set teleport exit orientation. Because the planets are so small, it's difficult to orient buildings ahead of time to keep the player facing the right way. If the exit orientation could be specified, it would be much easier to make teleports from doors that go a long way off.

I have posted this before but with the release of GA, I have started playing Spore again and these problems continue to surface. I believe that they could be fixed with a Patch but since they haven't been fixed already I could be wrong...

1) Be able to rearrange my cargo in my spaceship. Currently I have to drop things and delete cargo and beam the others back up.

2) Be able to pick a set of buildings for my colonies instead of having to pick them every time (at least). To go a bit further (and maybe dreaming) I would like to be able to preset the colony building layout for each Terrascore. So if I have a T1 planet I click on the colony, click a button to select the layout and if I have enough money it places the buildings itself. Something like that would actually make expanding to more than 35 systems worth while.

3) Be able to carry more than 99 of each spice. Most people only settle solar systems with the high return spice (Green, Pink, and Purple) and so if I have 10 purple spice planets I shouldn't be wasting production by only being able to carry 99 purple spice.

4) Be able to pay my allies to stop warring. Currently I have two neighbor Warrior races that I am trying to cultivate to be level 5 empires but they keep attacking each other. I don't want to pick a side but I am losing relation points with both without doing so.

5) Be able to give/sell for cheap solar systems to allies. It would be great for the relation bonus and I could keep down my amount of crappy, leftover, conquered Yellow/Red/Blue spice planets.

6) EDIT: Oh and I'll add this from another thread because it is also causing me fits. I play Civ 4 and this is an essential part to micro-managing (which is what you seem to want us to do) large empires. I have no problem with micro-managing if I can get some help.

Bastarden wrote:I request a register in Space stage giving you instant information about your colonized planets. Showing what terrascore they have, if some part of the ecosystem is missing (a big tree for example), what species are already on the planet, what tools you have (Uberturret, Happinesbooster and so on) already placed and most important of all...If you have maxed out the colonies or not!!

I'm tired of having to travel to each and every planet to check if it's all good, I currently keep a register with Microsoft Word...It takes a long time, and until I have maxed out all my colonies my only gameplay is when terraforming and travelling between planets!

There should also be a register over planets you have visited, showing what animals and plants are on that planet, and of course there should also be a register for Zoo-planets that you create, showing species in the sanctuary and plants.

I mean, are you supposed to have super memory to play Space stage?

I think that this could be done using fairly little space, I mean, the Sporepedia is already in the game to open whenever you want..just ad a register with simple text, symbols and small pictures...would be SO nice!

7) EDIT: Be able to choose different Sporecasts/Buddies as themes for each stage. I have Creature-only, Tribal-only, and Space-only sporecasts that I have put a lot of work into. I would like to be able to use them in game as themes for each stage.

That is all that is bugging me right now but before GA came along these things kept me from playing Spore at all. I am satisfied for now but someone should really take a look at these. Thanks.
