how do you screen record spore?

I'm gonna make some AI tutorials, but I don't know how to screen record. I know you can record on V, but it stops recording when I click the sporepedia icon

please help me

You could get FRAPS, Hypercam, or Cam Studio. Any one of those should work.

Camstudio seems to work extremely well, plus it's free.

You may use Fraps, Hypercam (worst) or camstudio. Another option is Camtasia, but that ain't free.

I had some problems with CamStudio when trying to record Spore, however that was most likely to do with my computer being old and fragile.

I've used Fraps with Spore before, and it's worked like a charm. Though I only use the free version, meaning you get a watermark at the top of the screen and can only record for about 30 seconds at a time.

I recommend CamStudio if your computer can handle running that and Spore together. If not, try Fraps.

If you use fraps, don't forget to check the FAQ of the site, otherwise the filesize is gonna be HUGE.

Oh in addition, there is a cheat to record the UI as well. Look it up.

When I try to record SPORE with anything, (I am currently using Free Screen Recorder and Camstudio, as hypercam sucks and Fraps isn't free) but when I record it eveything goes fine, but when I watch it, , my screen just shrinks to a black square and The cursor changes. I see my desctop screen, not my game, and I CAN hear the sounds. This happens with spore, and civilization. I put the screen on full screen and everything. HELP!!!!!

I looked up this question, because all of a sudden in my spore game, a
mark appeared in the top right corner that said, "recording" How do i turn this off, or on(if needed)

Microsoft Expressions Encoder 4 is free and does the job quite nicely without any watermarks and the recording limit is 10 minutes per video which is a huge amount if you are only recording for Spore. It comes bundled in with a screen recorder where you can specify the quality/bitrate of your video and the custom resolution of which area you would like to record. You can encode it in the program to export as a .WMV on the free version and the paid version you can export as an .MP4 after file encoding is set off and completed.

Ditto Fraps.

It's my Q&D screen recorder, and pretty much reliable for most of what I want to do.
