It makes it so he doesn't have to log in every time he visits, the website will log him in automatically from the computer he uses.
Spore is a fun, unscientific game. This is about as big and obnoxious as any forum signature should get. I don't want to stare at your flashy pictures every time you post an emoticon.

Yep. And the site has this annoying habit of logging me out automatically every half hour or 45 minutes or so, and I hate needing to log back in.

I'd rather just see a "session length" setting in my profile. Let me set the time I'm logged in for to whatever I want, within reason. Is a six hour or so session time really so much to ask? I'm sure the servers can handle the load.
