RTS in Space age.

I like to see the RTS aspect of this game carry over to space age. Space ship (Air) and ground combat will add a whole new game to this already wonderful space sim.

First, let us take a look at space combat or aerial combat. Instead of buying individual ship, player purchase ships with small groups like what is already in game when an empire attacks another they send groups of ships composed of one large ship and 4 small ones moving in formation. These battle groups would show up as individual icons like in previous stage where players can select a group by clicking its icon and then giving it orders. Utilize the ship creator to allow players to fit different weapons for the main ship in the group. Weapon choice can be simplified down to air to air and air to ground with a few options for different power lvl weapons. Like in tribal stage you can fit your creature with different weapons for different purpose. Or if you got the cash to burn you can fit multiple weapons for both air to air and air to ground. Less micro management is better. Perhaps have a unit control button such as engage enemy fleet or run away. One click on engage enemy fleet will cause the selected ships to automatically heads toward the nearest enemy and attack them. Battle can be simulated in a small display window so the player can chose to watch the battle, or head over and participate in person.

Secondly, I want to see creature combat in space age. Allow players to purchase special transport ships. These ships carry limited number of soldiers that can be dropped off on the planet surface and given orders to take cities. Make it so that you need ground troops to take a city or you can choose to destroy the city completely with your ship and rebuild from scratch.

Finally, this serves two purposes, one is when player have build up a good size empire and have fleets patrolling, it makes the empire self sufficient on defending itself. Which will allow the player to actually do something else, because the pirate raid and enemy empire attacks are sort of out of nowhere as if they have unlimited ships even when down to a single planet. It gets very annoying when you are constantly attacked. Another purpose is to add more fun for player who likes war with other empires. That way they can build up massive fleets and transport ship to take over an enemy empire.

So you want Sins of Solar Empire then?

You miss the point see last paragraph. I'm not asking for full RTS game I like how the previous stage have simplified RTS style you get only one land, sea, and air unit.

You miss my point. Simplified or not, you want Sins of a Solar Empire style macro-management. I'm not saying that that's bad or good, I'm simply stating something first to see if that's what you mean.
