This is the message now when I try to play Spore when I start. I tried to reinstall but when I go to uninstall, this message comes up.

"An error (-5005 : 0x80070002) has occured while running the setup.

Please make sure you have any previous setup and closed other aplications.
If the error still occurs, please contact your vendor: Electronic Arts"

So now Spore is just a program that's stuck on my computer with no purpose. Does anyone have a solution?

Sounds like you might have a major hiccup, maybe this Manual Uninstall might Help?

Did you fully turn off the computer and then turn it back on (cold boot) to ensure that Spore wasn't stuck running in the background and not responding? If so then I would do as the other player suggested and do a manual uninstall. Do check our FAQ under Uninstalling for how to back up your game data first!

Thank you for your help, I found how to uninstall but now when I reinstalled it it says:

"R6034
An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorectly."
Then tells me to contact the support team. What should I do now?

Can you try installing the visual c++ runtime library again?

I did install it on a Vista system and it worked, though it doesn't say it's supported, it's probably because it's an old upload.

In addition, install all updates from microsoft update and of course the latest service pack, 2 for Vista and 3 for XP.

Have you installed the latest Service pack? Also what is the regional setting of your OS?

Thank you for the help, but the Service pack 2 did nothing, so i tried something else, which basically worked, but the DRM has kicked in, so now it won't work. It appears I used the rest of my installs installing and unistalling it these past 2 days. So unless you know how to remove the DRM without having to buy a new key (I'm pressed for money now), I'm screwed.

Please review the info in this link:
How Many Installs do I Get? How do authorizations work?
http://forum.spore.com/jforum/posts/list/20627.page#439637

Usually calling support or contacting them at help.spore.com and explaining that you have run out of authorizations due to not deauthorizing Spore before major system changes (such as reinstalling or upgrading Windows, hard drive wipes, major hardware updates) will result in you being given 1 additional authorization. Everyone gets 5 authorizations to start.
