I found Absurd, after i have saved the game in an age, I can't no more restart the game itself since the beginning.!!
Please, make a patch to avoid this issue.

I have saved in a too advanced stage of a game, in civ stage, and now I am doomed, and I can't even restart agin from the beginning!

Pick a different planet and start again? If you REALLY don't like the one you accidentally saved, delete that game.

Yeah that's a really fair request.

Especially if you took the earlier stages slow to get nice pretty historical timelines for your creature.

So basically delete hours of your life because a simple feature found in every game ever made (that needs one) isn't here?

I guess I'm just not understanding why he is "doomed" just because he saved the game in Civ stage. If he wants to "restart the game itself since the beginning" there is a very easy way to do that- just move on to a different planet. And I didn't say he has to delete, but if he's really that unhappy with it, it is an option.

And yeah, it might be nice if we had the option of multiple save points per planet (which I think was what the OP was asking for). But since, IMHO, this game is all about the journey more than the destination, I don't consider starting over to be a significant setback.

The reason "I am doomed" is quite simple: I have saved the game in a phase where I'm going to loose for sure...
So i want restart in Civ stage, but at the beginning in "that" phase.
I am not talking to restart the entire game. I was critizing the idea (stupid in my opinion) followed by the Programmers to don't give the chance to start again (a fresh load, in other words) in that specific age.

That's true, if you saved in those stages moments before you're about to lose, that game becomes unviable and unwinnable. In most games this is fine, but they tend to have multiple save slots in case you do.

So yes. A 'restart' button for these ages would be nice, it does go against the grain of the progression aspect of the game, but for practicality's sake, it's a must.

In the meantime, have you looked into checking your old save? Spore keeps the save before you last saved as well - I've never needed to, but you could rename the old save to the current one, and start over from that point... maybe.

how do u do that? I'm in the same situation on the tribal stage

you lose an the stage starts again, very simple, but a restart stage function should be added...
