Update: The fruitcake parade continues!

A bunch of you made creatures in the shape of fruitcakes, but MaxisKate made a fruitcake in the shape of a creature. Just wanted to share some pics with you! Om nom nom. Happy Holidays!

Maxis is hosting a second Holiday Mystery Giveaway! If you weren't one of the lucky thirteen in the first one, you still have a chance to receive a gift from Maxis just by making a little holiday fruitcake.

Just whip up a spectacularly stale confection in any editor you choose (other than the adventure creator) and publish it with the tag mcfruitcakegift. Post a pic of your delectable treat (or stale paper-weight of a pastry) and you'll have a chance to be one of the ten randomly chosen lucky players to receive a holiday gift back from Maxis.

How to Post:
• Make a fruitcake creation and publish it with the tag mcfruitcakegift
• Post about it here on the forum and include an image and link to the creation.

Creation Requirements:
• Your creation should look like a fruitcake
• Your creation may be made in any editor (other than the adventure creator)

• Recipients will be chosen at random, not based on creation quality
• All submissions must be in by 11:00 AM PST Friday (12/11/09)
• Your creation must not have any parent authored by a different creator.
• Your creation must not have any offensive material, links or references to other sites in the submission's tags, name, or description

hmmm, this time there is less time and cake should be harder to make than a present, so i think the chances of winning should be better this time.

How to post images to the Sporum

For those new to Sporum, adding a linked image to your posting is not difficult. The code that you put into your posting will look like this.

Click on postreply at the bottom of a page

Paste this code into your reply

Next open up a tab in your web browser and navigate to the picture of your creation in the web Sporepedia. You can go to your own profile page and if you just made the creation, you can click on the picture of it on your profile page to go to the Sporepedia page where you'll follow the four steps below to change the code you have in post reply box to code that shows your image and links to your image.
