All who? I think Spore is close to being abandonware, but it is still executable on most people's machines. It's entirely possible to set up one's own content server, or to do the lame manual data sharing LOL.

"Lost cause" is far too dramatic a thing to call it. After all, you are the one who keeps dinning on how spore is all "single user" and you won't lose anything when the server goes down (which there is no sign of yet).

Playing abandonware games has it's own challenges, but they are far from (lol) "Lost Cause"s.

I sign, even know sore has probably been abandoned I still sign.

Doesn't hurt to sign. And it does document there are still people out there thinking about what they would've liked the game to be.

Spore could have been better. If it was better Ea wouldn't get the Worse Company Award.

Spore was a very small part of why EA was voted worst company. As the articles spell out. And Spore has been out for YEARS, it's very old news.

So Spore is part of an old pattern, but not one that would have been broken on the strength of a single offering done correctly.

Forget that they can keep it. I already voted on that site and I choose EA. LOL

maxis is working on a new sim city game,while spore is pretty much abandoned.
even though it would be good for maxis to work on spore,at least they're making a new simcity. played the one on the SNES,Simcity 4 and its expansion,simcity societies and its expansion,and simcity creator.

i really hope that after the (hopeful) success of simcity,they get back to work on spore,reviving it from the dead.
