OK, I have recieved verification that this is the right section to post Spore-related stories, so I have one here, based upon a RP of mine that never took off. That RP in turn was based of a sporecast of mine that had a good story but not too good creations.

A picture of the main race, and antagonists of the story:

I believe that God created the heavens and the earth, sent His only Son to die for the world, and will come again to take his followers to the new heaven and earth. If you believe this to then copy and past this to your sig.God Bless.

Prelude

A lone scholar was typing a history volume of the galaxy. He was currently on Volume 4: The Hwerrho-Grox War .

The Galaxy has lasted for many billions of years, and as long as there has been life, there has been alliances and war. We have observed the tiny cells fighting over food, and we have witnessed titanic space wars. Alliances are nearly as old, whether they are two animals singing and dancing, or two huge empires forming trade routes. The first large multi-empire alliance, now known as the Galactic Federation, started out as a tiny alliance between the ancient Willosaurian and Ferinien Empires. The Feriniens are dead and the Willosaurs have gone to another galaxy, yet the alliance has remained throughout the history of the galaxy. Ever since its founding, it has remained at war with the terrible Grox Empire near the Galactic Core. The greatest challenge that the federation has ever experienced however, happened three and a half millenniums ago. It was a dark time; the Grox spanned 2400 systems; the Galactic Federation was large and corrupt, not caring about the small, primitive empires it once protected. The Grox, knowing that in that time the vast federation only cared about the large, powerful empires that were members, began to attack small empires. Under the cruel fist of the Grox, many small civilizations began to fall. Those who waged war against the Grox prayed for anything, anything, that could save them. But in this situation, the cure was far, far worse than the ailment. It took the Reunion Crisis to bring this galaxy to its senses. It took the worst war in the history of the universe to save this galaxy.

Part One

Chapter One: The Hwerrhan Empire

Around the Galaxy lie several small irregular galaxies, one of which supported life. On one of these small worlds was a group of tribal creatures. Their name for themselves was the W’glux-na Hwerrh. One day, however, several of the Hwerrh in one tribe collapsed, haven fallen into terrible hallucinations. The shaman of this village prayed for many nights, until finally he gathered the entire village together for a meeting. He told them that the gods had spoken to him, and had told him of an upcoming cosmic event called the Reunion of Madness. The Shaman then said that he was the Prophet of Madness and that they had to spread the word. Slowly but surely, this tribe conquered all the rest, and then began to build cities. Hundreds of Prophets later, they finally made a spaceship.
The Hwerrhan galaxy was still young, and had few other space faring races. In a couple centuries, every empire in that galaxy had converted to The Path to the Reunion of Madness. Those who refused were conquered and enslaved. In their spare time, the Hwerrh made many twisted experiments in order to please their dark gods.
The Prophets kept a tight rein upon peoples’ lives, until eventually all the Hwerrh thought about was the Reunion. Yet, despite this, none of the people knew what it was. Only the Prophets themselves knew, and they did not tell.
One day, the current Prophet announced that they had prepared this galaxy to the fullest, and it was to be left. He gathered his armies in enormous worldships and then left to the large spiral galaxy they saw every night. The few left who followed the Path died, for they had no reason to live without the Prophet. Soon, the only life left was the twisted experiments. Perhaps this is what the dark gods wanted for the preparations.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As the Hwerrhan Empire flew, a young Hwerrh name Argotsh saw a small fleet of ships approaching them. He hurried to inform his superiors.
“Sir, we have undetected ships on our scopes. What should we do?”
The officer had no time to answer, however, as the ships opened fire upon them. The Hwerrhan fighters quickly flew out and engaged them in combat. The Hwerrhan fighters exploded when hit by the missiles. In return, they fired more shots out.
As quickly as the battle began, it ended. The mysterious attackers disappeared into the void. The Hwerrh had little time to celebrate this victory, however, as it was then that the target galaxy came into view. The Prophet, awakened from her sleep, gave the order to go into it. In the twenty thousand years that they had been traveling, more than a hundred Prophets had reigned. Now the Hwerrh were exited. Their target was in sight. They would conquer this puny galaxy from the middle out. Or so they thought.
Chapter Two: The Grox
BH-14 was staring at the robots who worked under him. The Grox had no names until they were higher rank, but unlike the robots, the Grox did have letters in their names. BH-14 was rather bored; all he ever got to do was command worker robots, not go into battles. Oh, how he wished to one day go into battle, flying one of the sleek, powerful fighters. He knew that the Grox were the most powerful race in the galaxy, and they had to make sure the other empires knew it. He would get this wish sooner than he thought.
That night, the Grox looked at the stars. They did this often if they lived on a planet that was T0 due to low atmosphere. The Grox did not look at the stars due to their beauty of course, they looked either at stars under their control or stars that would one day be under their control. What stars they did not conquer would be raided and forced into a submission. The Grox had to maintain their reputation as a galactic superpower.
Meanwhile, in the Grox command on this planet, they received a weird signal. Somehow, a fleet of spaceships was coming from above. This was rare, as their planet was at the very top of the core. Yet the huge worldships continued to come. When the Grox attempted to communicate, all they received was static. They ordered a defensive fleet brought up incase this race was hostile. Well, if it wasn’t hostile they would destroy it anyways. What the Grox did not comprehend was exactly how hostile these aliens would be.
BH-14 looked at the huge ships and wondered what was inside them. It was then that an enormous hologram of a weird creature appeared. “Surrender to the glory that is madness. Allow it to fill you, consume you, and be you. We have done this, it has made us great. If you do this, your souls shall be spared in the Reunion.”
The Grox, needless to say, did not do this, and soon found themselves in the middle of a battle. Their ships began to fight the Hwerrhan attackers, and soon found the Hwerrh to be deadly opponents. Beaten back, the Grox were forced to rely on their orbital defenses. The Hwerrh, however, started sending weird planes that tried to take control of the Grox’s minds. However, the Grox were able to resist due to their cyborg parts. They then shot down the Hypno-planes and, should any Hwerrh survive, execute the pilots. This would not be enough, as the Hwerrh then deployed attack robots. The Grox fought them as long as they could but could not keep them back. In the end, the Grox colony was reduced to rubble. The few surviving spaceships retreated; the surviving Grox on the ground hid in a small bunker beneath where the town hall was. The Hwerrh, having decided not to colonize this planet and leave it as a reminder to the Grox of their defeat, left.
Inside the Bunker, BH-14 looked at the small group of Grox with him. They would have to wait for a chance to escape. Hopefully the Hwerrh would leave soon, and the Grox could escape. Sure enough, the roar of engines was heard and the Hwerrhan Empire left. BH-14 and what few other Grox were there gathered their supplies and snuck out of the bunker. As they were walking around in air that would kill most normal species, the Grox climbed to the top of a mountain and begun to set up a communications device in order to contact the home world. They hoped that they would soon be rescued. They feared that they would be left to die.
Chapter 3: The Galactic Federation
“Chairman Salvishla! Chairman Salvishla!” shouted a young page. The Chairman looked up. The chairman was an Oogie, as had been the last chairman, and the one before him, and the one before him. Well, the Oogies were the second oldest race still in the galaxy, behind the Grox Empire alone. They had horse-like mouths, but much, much shorter. Their backs were covered in primitive electrical organs and poison shooters. Old jets had turned into things to keep them cool.
“What is it?” the chairman inquired. He was bored, other than the occasional war between senior members and full-scale Grox attacks on senior members there really was not much to do. Not that he wanted some super crisis, of course. Unfortunately, the page informed him that there was a super crisis.
“This intergalactic race, the W’gusta Hwoo or um, something like that. Well, they have conquered nearly five small empires, and have overused the Creature Tweaker and monolith tools, breaking the Interplanetary Forced Brain Development Limit Treaty and the Natural Evolution Protection Treaty!”
Salvishla groaned. Why did this crisis have to happen now? All it was probably some zealot ranting on about Spode. Well, they were zealots. But they did not worship Spode. This would soon be discovered when a transmission sounded, revealing that a W’glux-na Hwerrh not a W’gusta Hwoo (this deserved a glowering glance at the page, and Salvishla did just that) was contacting them. The Hwerrhan Empire had given them a choice: submit to Madness, convert to the path, or you will be experimented on to death. Salvishla decided they would have to call an emergency meeting.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“And you speak of us being crazed, being insane. Well, you speak correctly. We are insane, we are all mad. Yet there is a method to our madness: we work to the Reunion.”
The Hwerrhan diplomat had been talking for hours. Salvishla groaned yet again. He did not have time to listen to religious nuts go on and on talking about some “Reunion of Madness.” He had people to talk to, money to get, deals to make, and votes to acquire. Oh, it may seem like he is rather corrupt, caring only about votes and deals and money, but actually Salvishla was probably the least corrupt Chairman in the past century. He was probably the only one who could remember the Federation’s motto: Peace, trade, and science.. Well, all of the Zealots knew of the Motto, for they wished it to be changed to Peace, trade, and religion..
In the end though, only a few empires decided to join the Hwerrh. Of these, the only notable one was the Tulugriom, an empire of Traders who decided that the Hwerrh were the winning team. The Hwerrhan Empire said they would wait one month, and then all who did not convert would be killed. After the Hwerrh and their new allies left, there was a moment of silence. Then the council decided to choose how high a pay raise they should get.
