Many mythical creatures (take away the magic) may actually be possible. An example is the unicorn. The unicorn is merely a white horse that sparkles and has a horn.

Others have significant problems, like the centaur.

As you can see, a centaur's skeletal structure is plausible, yet there are a few problems. Where is the stomach, heart, organs in general? Does the esophagus extend down the human form?

Another is the dragon and 6-legged salamander.

Recent studies state that an animal cannot normally (without genetic mutation) have more than 4 limbs. This includes wings.

Here you can discuss mythical creatures and why they couldn't or could exist.

The major problem with the dragon is having enough room for flight muscles, large enough wings, and a proper center of balance. I've been working on my own dragon anatomy, to try to make it as "realistic" as possible. (Although a realistic dragon probably wouldn't be that large, and I think it would probably need even larger flight muscles than I have drawn.)

That wing size, but a little bigger than a Utahraptor in body size I reckon.

Yes, extencive muscle in the wing area would be a must. Dragons also have hollow bones, aiding in flight.

If they do exist, tell me why there are no remains of said creatures.

Hollow bones would make it more related to birds than reptiles.

Not neccessarily. Convergent evolution.

I never said they did exist.

Some people argue that dragons are birds, as some species have feathers.

Not necessarily. It would be what you call an analogous adaption. If ever there were dragons, they would probably follow the same body plan as birds, because that is what works.

If they do exist, tell me why there are no remains of said creatures.

Not that I'm saying they existed, but the answer to your question is an incomplete fossil record.

I would expect, in the centaur, a normal organ outlay- the same as humans. ( Minus the back part, of course...)

But that raises the question, what would go in the remaining area....

Oh, and this

would apply to the centaur as well?

I never - let's stop now.

Another thing is the dragon's flames. Some say it was magic, some say gas-bladders, some say flammable poison ducts in their skulls.

I would think that human size organs would need to be enlarged to accommodate the horse part of the body, so maybe they could be stretched through out the human ribcage and the horse ribcage.
