There are a few creations that I'm not too keen on keeping, mainly because they were used for testing a certain graphical glitch I found.

Each time I open up the game, I go into my sporepedia, click the 'everything' tab, and do a search for terms I put on the creations in question... They appear, so I delete them. Next time I open up the game? They're back. They're not necessarily under the 'my creations' tab, but they're still in the game nonetheless... And yes, they have appeared as creatures in my game. Grr.

So, what gives? Does anyone know of any truly permanent ways to banish the abominations from the realm of my game?!

I know of a few ways this could have been possible; have you deleted any files within the SPORE data-files?

Apparently there is no way to get rid of creatures that were created since they get saved to the computer.

I just ran into this problem myself today for the first time, it seems that the problem is with Spore not deleting the png file for the item you delete from "My Spore Creations". Going to try deleting that manually and see if it works.

It's something about the two DBs not updating each other; I've noticed that when I save something, occasionally it'l l generate a new save in the Everything folder even though it shows an replaced object in the My Creations.

OK confirmed way to fix it:

1. delete the offending item(s) ingame from the everything folder (or my creations but chances are they will be stuck in everything if you have tried to delete them before)

2. Exit Spore

3. Go to your Documents folder in windows and find "My Spore Creations"

4. Go into the relevant folder (creatures, vehicles, buildings or UFOs)

5. Make sure you have it set to show thumbnails (so that you can make sure you are deleting the right one if there are multiples with the same name and a number)

6. Delete the offending file(s)

7. Load Spore and they should be gone

Edit: should point out I suspect this might be a patch problem, I had no problems deleting content before I patched

Yeah, just did that right before posting this message. Of course, I haven't opened up the game since I've done that, so I'll just have to see if it works or not.

No, it doesn't work.

My creations I want to get rid off are now available online, and get re-downloaded to my comp from time to time. They are not listed under "my creations" in the sporepedia anymore, as I deleted them there, but can be found by searching for my ingame nick "Cisz". When I open them from the search page, there is a link to "remove creation", and it says "removed" when I click it, but they are still there afterwards.

Example: There are two versions of my "Mediadrome", one in purple and one in orange. The purple one is obsolete, and should be removed, how do I do that?

If your ingame sporepedia keep grabbing it from the web sporepedia, have you tried deleting it from your web sporepedia before following shinia's procedure?

Yes, as I stated in my post, I deleted it on the website, in "my creations". So I deleted several creations at 3 places, ingame, in the "creations" folder of "my documents", and in "my creations" of the sporepedia. Still they are searchable in "all creations" online.
