I'm not sure if this counts as an Iowa class... but it's definitely a battleship!!

Pie: Alright, your entry's up.

Zanzibar: It's close enough that if it had been originally designed as an Iowa-class it would have been accepted, but since what i can infer from your post is that it wasn't, it can't be accepted. Sorry

Technically, I did model it after a google image search for the word "battleship", I just can't recall if the photos I used were Iowa class or not. So if you say it is, I guess it is... *shrug*

My Entry: USS New Jersey - http://www.spore.com/sporepedia#qry=sast-500483092758

The USS New Jersey earned more battle stars for combat actions than the other three completed Iowa-class battleships, and is the only US battleship to provide gunfire support during the Vietnam War. During World War II, New Jersey shelled targets on Guam and Okinawa, and screened aircraft carriers conducting raids in the Marshall islands. During the Korean War, she was involved in raids up and down the North Korean coast, after which she was decommissioned into the United States Navy reserve fleets, better known as the "mothball fleet". She was briefly reactivated in 1968 and sent to Vietnam to support U.S. troops before returning to the mothball fleet in 1969. Reactivated once more in the 1980s as part of the 600-ship Navy program, New Jersey was modernized to carry missiles and recommissioned for service. In 1983, she participated in U.S. operations during the Lebanese Civil War.

Well, at the date I originally designed the ship... most people had no clue how to even make decent looking water craft. And since it was so long ago, and I can't remember precisely the stock picture I used to make it... Who is to say it was NOT an Iowa class?? I sure as heck am not saying this. I can't recall the exact picture I was looking at when I designed it...
