Limited number of saves

I have a relatively full galaxy:

What will happen when I fill all the save slots? They only seem to appear a certain distance from the center; with an apparent maximum of 10 per arm, I'm halfway to filling my galaxy! Will I get no new species after that?

There is no limit, my number of saved games exceeds yours by a huge amount and there are still new game slots available.

Specifically you will always have at least 6 empty save slots every time you start spore.

Where do they appear?

Randomly.

That must be fun seeing all your other creations. What a filled galaxy!

You'll always have more. As you use up more space, slots start to appear at the outer edges of the galaxy. You should of seen my galaxy, it was absalutely packed! A shame I lost it

Found it! Editted the image slightly so you can see all saves, but yes, this used to be my galaxy. If I had this much on an extreamly bad computer, I think your game can cope with some more

Strange... it looks alot more spacious than I remember.

EDIT: Now I remember. That galaxy has 44 planets. I lost all of my game data when I reached about 80.

Your galaxy looks like mine kinda...

But I had 70 planets...

What are the red and green planets?

I have had around 250 planets on this machine. I recently cut way back because the game loaded slower and I was having to clear the graphics cash often, which slowed gameplay further.

I think my practical limit on my "fast" machine is going to be around 100 and 50 or less on the netbooks.
