This thread is a complete reiteration of millions of threads in the past and they all result in the same thing. I don't think its necessary to get into detail because you could find them if you just looked.

This is different, Drew. This isn't "it's going to happen". this is a hypothetical "battle plan" of how we woulf keep Spore running in the event that maxis shuts spore.com down.

There has been no announcement on if or when the severs and/or the forums will be taken down. I'm sure when that announcement comes down the pipes we will be given some sort of heads-up, even EA doesn't just pull the plug on an online service without alerting the community.

When that does occur we will move on. There are thousands of other games out there, each with some degree of community. Some of us will stay in contact with eachother and others won't. It's the cycle of video game life.

Until that day comes, we can stop making threads asking about it.
