I'm guessing I should probably make a species sheet then. Well, unless you want the beings from below returning, Unu.

Hmm... reading the description of the world now, I think I'll leave them out (for now). But lets just sumize it to say that I think the species that did survive the destruction probably was them due to their natural inclinement for the underground (speculation mostly)

Anyways, I may just go with the Zinvindari. More fun to use and they never existed on this world yet so...

Well, I'm looking for five races (excluding mine) before starting. We've only got two so far, so you've got all the time in the world as far as I'm concerned.

I'm in. I've been looking to do another of these, but have never been able to get enough people together.

Man, the shifters. I remember those. They were kind of cool, but... well... I think I screwed up with them, you know? It was a bad idea from the start :/

Shush, joural. Don't speak of those evil beasts. They could comeback and finish the job.

I made them. I can decide whether or not they come back, I think.

and they don't. know why? they don't NEED TO. they are inter-dimensional raiders. they swarm across universes taking all there is to take and closing the door on their way out. Hell, i don't think they could find a specific universe again if they WANTED to.

I should totally make an RP focused entirely around the shifters... they weren't a bad idea, really, just not right for this kind of RP. A Sci-Fi RP taking place in the future, where each person is a single character... that could work.

Anyway, I'm trying to decide what kind of race I want to go with. Not aquatic- I hated that in return, and did it kind of badly in 2. Definitely not a hive-mind, it's fun but feels kind of basic. I really want to steer the hell away from anything psionic.

maybe an avian race of some sort? that could be cool...

@Joural

Well, its great to see you back regardless. I didn't really intend to bring the Shifters back into the game, but just felt I should probably mention them since they were the leading cause of, y'know, the end of days for all of our old creations.

@Lee

You can start out on any continent you want. The Kraylk'Sut are running around on the South-Western, on the mouth of the river. The Arsylth are crusing around in the ocean just off of the island cluster of the North-Western Continent and the Hiide are sprouting up just about in the center of the largest of the continents.

Species name: Gaia Dioscuri
Starting location: Bottom Left "Australia" type continent, little island off the Northern Coast
Appearance: (Pic or description. Or both)

Abilities/Traits: The top Gaia, the Ukur, function as predators and the defenders of the group as a whole. They are generally fed excess Tui from their herd, which they supplement with hunting and bodies of potential predators. They work a lot like animals we are familiar with, except their brains, which are the Brain Tui which give them the ability to separately "breed" and copy personalities and behaviors. They sometimes emerge in feral packs without a herd to protect, but these Ukur are generally less intelligent and capable then their herd based counterparts.

The Gaia Egeria are the primary members of a Gaian herd. The actual Gaia itself serves mostly as a thick biological shell, a body and organs to hold water and their photosynthesizers, the Tui. They move them about and get them important nutrients from the world's other plant life, and they turn sunlight into energy with industrial efficiency. These Gaia also possess specialized Tui in a sac inside their body, who connect directly into the spinal cord and serve as the brain. These Gaia cannot use tools, and many thus have only basic brain Tui formations, but some more advanced ones exist for different roles in the herd, including to try out a new Ukur mind. The Gaia Egeria holds the genetics of many other Gaian branches inside (they are one species which develop into Gaia or Ukur due to select enviromental influences) and other Gaia may thus emerge in certain groups.
Culture/Disposition: The Gaia are all currently in basic tribal societies, partially intelligent Egeria serve and worship their Ukur, whose only thought is to defend them, to hunt and to kill. They haven't developed any more advanced of a society and the various herds do not cooperate, and the Ukur will fight other, one kills the other followed by their entire herd.
Miscellaneous info: They could develop psionics later, but I doubt it. I'll see how it plays out.

Name: Zivindari

Appearance: The first feature you would tak notice to is its face. Two ever staring eyes will great you. Of course, if you were this close to a Zivindari, you'd notice that their lower jaw is fixed in an open posistion and a set of mandibles carefully covers much of the opening. When the mandibles are opened, a long barbed tongue hangs out of the mouth. Getting away from the head, the lead muscular armored (and bumpy) body of the Zivindari is clearly noticable. A long tail with a hock gives a sinister feeling to the creature.
More bizzare than its head are its six paris of legs. All are sythe-like but the front two pairs of legs are attached, giving the front legs an appearance of a strange set of claws used for walking. A mebrane further attached these legs together and keeps the pair that is in the middle fairly close to its front ones. The remaining pair lacks the upper part of the sythe that the others legs do. Insead it is somewhat more insect like in design.
The last feature of this strange beast is its small strange arms. They are placed just lower than the point where the neck of the Zivindari meets the body. There the small weak arms are not used for too much as the Zinvindari rarely need them for things other than griping prey.

Size- Roughly 10 to 12 feet tall at the shoulder. They reach a length of around 16 to 19 feet when measured from head to the tip of the tail. The tail is typically raised up though.

Lifespan- 18 to 23 years with multiple stages.

Diet- They are solely carnivrous and will feed on many creatures of the mountains and the lower lands. Much of their prefered meals are invertabrates or other Zivindari.

Habitat- The Ultirem Mountain Range. They typically roam the lower parts of the mountains where it is warmer.

Reproduction- The Zivindari mate three times in their lifetime at the most. Each successful time, hundreds of eggs will be produced and later laided in a cave that is guarded by the male Zivindar. After the eggs are laid, it is the males responsibility to take care of them as the females leave and never return to the cave. The tail use is for the mating process.

Nervous system- A Zivindari has no true center 'brain' and appears to run on instincts most oftenly. Instead, multiple regions which are made up of cells similar to the brain that work in unison. Each control a completely different function such as the tail or the legs but all are linked by a matrix of nerve cells.

The remaining systems in the body are somewhat not as unique as the nervous system.

Call- Clicking and an eerie moan are the main systems of call. If you hear the moan, you typically won't see the next day.

Stages of Life-
Larva- Extremely small at around 6 inches long. They have multiple legs many of which are wasted. During this time, they scavange on the meals that their father supplies them with. Since eggs hatch fairly early and are small, the larva have to grow for about a year before going into their next life stage.

Pupa- A 3 month change that gives the larva a new shape. Shortly after reaching the length of around 1 and half feet, they scuttle out of their cave and find a more seclude parts to pupate. Many will die during this time period. After this they will come out as a nymph of the adult.

Nymph- A smaller version of the adult. Emerging from the pupa, the nymph is around 3 feet in length At around age 8, they will grow to the size required to be an adult.

Adult- The second to last stage and the longest.

Elder- The final stage of life. At this point, an elder is recongnize by their lack of the tail hook but the more knarled appearance of the armor they grow.

Culture/Disposition: They are intelligent and territorial. However, they don't have tribes due to them not liking to work with other Zinvindari. Slowly this is changing as they progress towards tribal culture (I'd call them late creature right now)

Miscellaneous info: Regarding their nervous system, they don't feel pain. KEEP THAT IN MIND!

So yeah, I settled on resurrecting these vicious beings. And this time I want this RP to last if it happens long enough for me to have some fun.
