Yeah I'm in the same boat as this guy. EADM isn't an option for me to use.

No, it doesn't. Only the CC has a direct download.

I don't want to hear anyone bring up Stardock. Stardock uses a download manager in order to avoid using DRM. We're forced to do both? F* that. I want a direct download or an automatic update that launches within Spore itself, not some separate EA garbage program. I bought a physical copy and I want patches that I can physically save to disc like I do with every other game I own.

You are reading the Creature Creator part, not Spore.

Not as I hoped but still nice, keep pumping out bug fixes and I'll be happy.

So uh, how about a Mac version of the patch? We're having the same issues and this .exe won't do us any good.

how about they forget everything else and focus only on the bugs. i dont give a rats ass about some new cheats or some minor tweeking. fix all the problems and then start adding stuff. i would rather wait a few months for new content if it mean getting patches strictly focused on bugs and glitches. let us play the game without problems before pumping out meaningless stuff.

News announcement on the main Spore page suggests Mac version will be updated next week.

Crashing on creature stage beginning, still, after applying the patch.

Honestly, this is the first time I have ever encountered a game that crashed every time I used it for more than 30 minutes (a crash is guaranteed for me in less than 3 hours so far), and I've run the full gamut of games from amateur to professional with plenty of experience with each.

This game is messed up badly.

Honestly I don't see how this kind of thing gets signed off unless QA was just sitting around watching Oprah and ordering pizzas... or pounding their genitals with mallets as I'd prefer to think of them doing by now.

This game is making a very disappointing birthday gift

How many patches will it take before I can enjoy a full game from beginning to end without a crash ruining my progress? You guys make entertainment software, please start helping me relieve stress instead of causing it for me.

Edit found the problem, you have a period after the .exe
