I managed to make the NASA HiMAT plane!

I added AH64DLongbow's B-52 Stratofortress to my Sporecast. I have a version that is colored with camouflage.

Lucas182,
Excellent job on the F-117A Nighthawk! It looks much better than the one I saw on your original thread. I added it to my Real Aircraft Sporecast. It looks like you did take some of my advice in the original thread and made it closer to the real plane. Keep up the great work!

Greetings quantamania:

ALERT...ALERT...a B-2 Spirit stealth bomber is being pursued by a squadron of Mi-24 Hind gunships :

B-2 Spirit: http://www.spore.com/sporepedia#qry=sast-500082499807

Mi-24 Hind: http://www.spore.com/sporepedia#qry=sast-500082481940

Please take command of both of these aircraft and keep them separated in your hanger...they like to fight with each other!!!

Best Regards,

AH64DLongbow

AH64DLongbow,
Got your two new aircraft today. They are in the hangar already. I did know that the very angular shape of the Spirit Bomber was going to cause problems with realism of the Spore version. I had die-cast models of that plane. Both look pretty good and get the shapes done well. I just picked up orthographic drawings of some old experimental planes so I may be uploading them soon. By the way, the complexity bug affecting the creatures has been lifted recently, allowing me to take my reserve creatures off the deck today.

hey guys, I've got some pretty decent WWII planes to add to this, but I'm a forum newb. How do I post pictures of my works up here?

Thegragg,
I went through your collection after learning of your 'release'. I picked up the planes from that collection. They look great. Your planes are now in my hangar and the 'Real Aircraft' Sporecast. There were a lot of experimental planes that were developed during World War II, so you might be able to post these on this thread. Go sift through some of the 'tutorial' threads to learn more. If you want to use an image in your post, use the 'Img' button once then paste your image location (usually 'copy image location' via a right-click on your vehicle picture), then hit the 'Img' button again to terminate the code. The same thing holds for the 'URL' button, which allows you to make direct links to Sporepedia entries (by selecting the URL in your address bar and hitting CTRL+C). The CTRL+V keystroke allows you to put down the URL link in a similar manner.

I managed to make the Douglas X-3 Stiletto, a weird experimental plane with a very slender fuselage and small wings.

Model version:

Real one:

One is stored at the NASA Dryden testing center.

Thanks man! Alright, I'll give it a go, my WWII collection:
C-46 Commando Transport Plane

Junkers Ju 88 Bomber

And my first attempt which isn't very accurate but it still looks like it belongs in WWII

Greetings quantamania:

Woop...woop...woop...woop...woop.... Yes, you hear correctly, that's the one-of-a-kind sound of my UH-1 Huey helicopter coming in for a landing :

http://www.spore.com/sporepedia#qry=srch-UH-1%3Asast-500082908961

Your hanger must be getting pretty full with all this great Spore content, but I hope you can find a space for this aerial legend of the Vietnam War. Please download, comment and enjoy!!!

AH64DLongbow,
Got your Huey chopper in the hangar. I specially designed the hangar to be a multidimensional realm, so that many more aircraft can be placed in there. So there is no problem with bringing in lots of aircraft. I put your chopper in the Sporecast. I just helped a newly released Sporian, thegragg, with forum posting techniques, so he tested his plane designs on this thread. I already have his planes in the Sporecast.

"Tora! Tora! Tora!" A squadron of my Japanese A6M Zeros have been spotted over Pearl Harbor :

Capture the Zero in one piece and store it in your multidimensional hanger for reverse-engineering. Please download, comment and enjoy!!!
