Actually, probably "everyone" does NOT know about this. I bought the game at Christmas and just learned of this thread a few days ago. How about others that buy the game this week or next, or next month, or ...?

Double post below after reading Sporemasternumerator's suggestion to use this thread.

Appologies for the noobish question but I am trying to delete an extra username i created in http://www.spore.com/view/screenNameManage but the delete link either side of the undesired username does not exist nor can it be found anywhere on the screen

I originally created the username just to see if the facillity works after numerous problems with EA server error messages. After a number of failed attempts to create anything, it eventually worked although the username is pure gibberish. Also noticed numerous usernames were "in use" despite odds on anyone choosing them would be nil ie dkhsu1837.

I've used both IE and firefox browsers to no avail as Firefox plays up occasionally

Don't be so sure... Casual player base and new players for arguements sake would benefit from this topic remaining "stuck"

I'd second this being stuck.

Day before yesterday I had a problem that amounted to logging in with my default username (not using the :anotherName extension) still logged me into my first optional account. In other words, "ashkelon" is my default, but logging in like ashkelon turned me into "saugus".

That problem was fixed somewhen between now and then, but in the meantime I got plenty of bad advice that pointed up that SOME PEOPLE DON'T understand how this feature works.

Ot at least, some who purport to know would benefit from access to this thread that describes correct address and behaviour.

I have to be grateful there WERE some others on here who DO KNOW how it works and realized that I actually did have a problem that was out of the ordinary and not a result of my native idiocy

Why is there no DELETE button under Manage Screen Names, how can we manage when we can't delete a name we want to delete?

RE: the Servers, why when I login under my default screen name here it instead logs me in under one of my alternate screen names?

Hope someone can help. I've been away from Spore a couple months but my son has continued to play on my account. I just created a new Screen Name for him after learning of this feature now.

How can I move all of his creations and saved games to his new screen name? I don't mind a tedious process so long as I don't lose any of his hard work.

I made a new user because my old one had too many buddies which was glitching my creature creator. and when i did i couldn't figure out how to delete my old one. i looked for a delete button or something but couldn't find one. all I saw was "set as default". can you help me???

I think your main gets fixed to your activation number (so you can't, without getting in direct contact with EA)

I know this question has been asked, but I still can't delete a Spore screenname. There's supposed to be a delete button in the "Manage Spore Screennames" part, next to the non-default screennames, but I'm not seeing one.

I thought it might be a problem with my mac, then I tried to delete it on my windows-running computer. No luck either way. Help?

That'd be awesome =) I'm sure they have some reason behind it-- perhaps tweaking the system... I just hope they reinstate it soon!

I think it was because downraters... I don't know about details.
