Whenever I change the language into English, some buttons appear as "***" and clicking most of them exits the game. How do I solve this problem?

Core Spore, Galactic Adventures, Creature Creator, what?

Sorry, I apologize I figured that one of such small mass of posts would not know where to post things and just post it anywhere. How are you attempting to change the translations, could you give me the steps?

All I did was add -L:en-us to the end of Spore GA. It does get translated in most of the places, but buttons like those in options appear as "***". Clicking them ends the game.
Not all of them though. My save file appears as *** but I can still play, but planets are all called ***.

Any help?

Do you have the right language package? My spore is a Thai Version (original, but from Thailand), and I had to install the German language package manually.
I have to look where I have the manual for that...
