I have see that many players have created various creations entitled "(insert username here)'s Mailbox." What is the point of these? I don't think they actually work as comment boxes or anything like that. Please explain this to me. Kthnxbai.

There just "Mailboxes" filled with that creaters creations

People set them up for general chat and questions that don't have anything to do with a particular creation of their's. Things like editor questions, offers to enter in various contests, and so on.

Some people are not allowed on the sporum, or don't like it here.

So they make mailboxes where you can leave gossip, news and other stuff that is not about a particular creation. It makes it easier to keep the "conversation" in one place.

I try and make a sporecast of mine, so that people can find it in amongst the other creations.

They are a nicety. If you have a general question about if they are still creating, or why they do things, or techniques or just comments, they are good to leave in the box.

If you can't find a box, you can leave them on any creation but it's nice if you start them with [MAIL] or [DEL] or something similar.

It's possible there are others... I just never have seen them. I put mine in a sporecast so it's easy to find, and I know others do too. I also put my "award" creations and gifts in there too, so other people can see them when they leave messages.

They don't seem to belong in any other sporecast.

I have doen the same as ash actually, but gave up, soince thiefers keeps an excellent sporecast for such creations. She has explained them awesomely well (as she always does). They can be very useful sometimes.

I really appreciate the Mailbox info, I have been trying to keep conversations going across multiple creations and it has been a weeeee bit of a pain =)

In short it's a creation that looks like a mailbox that they post updates on. Ex:

I have a mailbox....a bird marked its territory on it

Id Love if Spore Could add a Mailbox to your Front Page. Not a lot of Sporians use the Sporums or even know how to access it. So a Mailbox Creation Works Well. But once the Creator gets over a 100 or so Creations added, the Mailbox gets Lost in a Sea of Creations. This is Why ive Polled for Mailboxes on Several Threads

Well Hopefully with the Mailbox you will have the Same Options as you do with the Comments. You can Choose to Ignore or Report Abuse.

Since a mailbox is just another creation, and one that you have to share, of course, there is no difference in the way comments to it are handled and they way they are handled for your other creations.
