How high has one of your creations been on the MPN at any point in time, and which one was the highest? The highest would have to be my Bender, which made to the middle of page 3. Unfortunately downraters killed him. Oh well...

My Arnaud may have been higher than the Bender if it weren't for all those Lycan copies clogging up the MPN list We get the point, Hydro_Glyph's account is back. You can delete them now

I've been on #1 and have been featured.

#11, with my Cyber dragon. The asym version a couple days later got to #17.

i had a creation get to the 1st spot, then i found out the next day it was the 2nd most popular creation on Spore.com.....but that was a while ago

I have no idea.

i know how you feel.....seems Maxis just goes all random and such....i mean who knows if they even check the "Post your idea for Featured Creations" thread anymore

#4 with Tiny Sea Dragon. It may have gone higher, but time ran out and it disappeared.

#1 a couple of times, maybe 3, IDK. Maybe more, since I didn't stay up to watch all of them that were up on the top line. I took screenies of the first one, after that it didn't matter so much.

The reason I say it doesn't matter is not because I didn't appreciate people liking my stuff. I do. I love it when they like what I make.

The thing is I am creating things I like to play with, so they would be the same if they were at the top of the MPN or if they never got seen by anybody.

If you want to be on the MPN, there is a great thread by Lazywnch, that is stickied in the Creator Corner.

It is very straightforward.

I've been featured too, but that's a whole 'nother thing. For that, I would say entering Maxis contests where the prize is a feature. That's the only thing I know for sure works.

And even with the contests, it all comes down to the popular vote. And we all know how that can go sometimes.

Well, that's true, but at least you know you have a shot at it. Especially if you try and figure out what's wanted. Not to be trite, but if you don't enter, you can't win. Ever. No matter who else entered. You know what I'm sayin'.

I think there's a thread out there where you can put yourself up as a recommendation to get featured.

Or if you're delicate, get someone else to do it.

But that's all I know of.

BTW, the Maxis contests I entered didn't limit the number of entries you could put in, so you really can show them your best. And the ones I was in were all decided by Maxis, not "popularity".
