How does a rectangular rock with a hole in it sharply boost a planets intellegence?

One star me, see if I care.

as far as i know, its sending out shockwaves in the creatures making there brain mass bigger and making them do stuff to make there brain mass bigger themselves.

I still "dont like" didzo. Anybody who claims they are a god on a forum for a video game is crazy, vain, and a jerk.

Monoliths are machiens (that look very stupid) that increases brain activity in native creatures - thus, making them more inteligent. Does that answer your question?

P.S.

Hi. I'm a teenaged South African / Swede-to-be. A few things about me: I have a science obsession. I write and worldbuild in the realm of speculative fiction. I am highly liberal. I am an Agnostic Panentheist. I am a bi-curious homosexual. (Any problem with the last three is your own, thank you very much.) I am probably still alive. Left this place a long time ago. I can now be found here and here. I am now known as "Valdin", "TemporalV01D" and "SPACE_LEMON" because "DudeMan95" is a turdly username. DudeMan95 also had bad spelling and an occasional douchy attitude. My apologies. That is all. Enjoy the rest of your existence.

It's a debate question, not one that could be answered on google. How about you read, and understand, posts before you call out 'Spam!'?

How about we let this thread die? And you stop flaming, because this is pointless!

This is a legitimate question, and is spore related. You will gain no respect from anyone in these forums if you attempt to mod a forum when you are just a lowly poster and not a moderator, and you will lose any possible remaining respect by making up the rules as you go. I suggest you look through the guidelines, write down on a piece of paper what rule you think this thread is breaking, put that paper in an envelope, and burn it so that nobody has to hear about it.

As for the question, Monoliths are a reference to the monoliths in the movie 2001 A Space Odyssey, which seem to inspire or directly cause major events in human history (The invention of weapons, First Contact with extra-terrestrials).

Vilageidiotx is a they!

If you think I do not know how to act, then fine. The question has been answered, and this thread should have already died. I'm not trying to start a war, so I apologize.

I'm not sure, but didn't the monolith cause apes to become sapient? They would of looked different if they evolved and became smarter.

Its spore, its acts like a Giant Piece of Black Jello with a hole in it. It wiggles when deployed.

i thought it had something to do with a creature touching it or sometihng and they would gain knowledge and then being able to advance. Im pretty sure it was related to a space odyssey in some way? but its not the shockwave, its the monolith itself.
