Hi, Crainy here..
If you dont know me, im the maker of two actually pretty cool spore movies called "Creart" and "Expanded Universe", the thread to this two movies: http://forum.spore.com/jforum/posts/list/24923.page

In this thread, want to announnce my news spore movie project.I dont want to reveal the title and so on yet, but im working on it.However, because it will take really long and much of work before i even release the first teaser or "real" informations about the movie, i made this thread to take you with me during the pre-production of the movie.

However, at first, some basic informations: The movie will be, unlike my other two movies, a story movie with epic scale that will push the technic of spore to the limit.It will have a complex storyline, workedout characters and action.

The production is still in a very early stadium, but i already finished the first version of the script.

I will update this thread nearly every day and will keep you with me during the production.

If you want, you can also speculate here, what it could be, but please, dont spam.

I already announced this in an other forum, so the first daily updates are already out, however, here they are:

Update 1:
The movie will not take place exactly in THE spore universe, but in my own interpretation of it.Pretty much like my own spore universe, how every of you have it.This universe has much main points and main ideas of the galaxy in the game, but they will make a difference appearence and take other roles.

Update 2:
Througt a lucky evolution, i found a way to make the animations in the movie better and easier to make than before.

Update 3:
The movie will be around 1 or 1,5 hours long, however, it can still change.

Also, the movie will have a some sort of comiclike style, a bit like the dvd menu of spiderman 3.However, only some scenes will be filmed like that.
Also, i think it looks very cool.

Update 4:

Here are my first conceptdrawings, however, as you can cleary see, they arent drawn.And no, in the first one that isnt the comiclike style i talked about early, that effect i only made to make it look more comic like.And for not revealing the creations.

Update 5:
The Film will not have Speakers, but instead, it will have subtitles.However, i developed a technic how i can fit this subtitles into the movie and style, so they will be cool.

i think Galactic Adventures is just the thing for this. but making enough props for a full length movie will take waaaaaaay longer than you think.

No, i doesnt.I now how long this movie will take to make.I planned this long before.I actually had this movie in my mind even before my first two movies, but because the concept wasnt possible to realise back then, i waited and made my other two movies.
When GA was announced, i knew it would fit perfect.

I know exactly what im doing and how long it will take, at least how long the making of the stages will take.

How long then?

I planning to release this movie at the end of the year or maybe a bit later.For the making of the stages and to film all this, i will maybe take 2 months, however, i cant tell how long the editing of this all will take.
I also depends a bit on how the school will be this year.

But for now, im still in the stage where i have to write the script perfectly out and this will take time.

Also, if i want to release this movie in English, i would need somebody that could actually translate the textes.
You have to speak german at least in mid-good.Because im not that good at english, how you probably have realised.

its great to see progress. i will do my best like everyone else to make this movie epic. it is an epic style movie after all.

i'm pretty good at translating because i know english better than my mother tongue (Greek). i also speak a variation of Dutch (Afrikaans) and starting to learn French at school. i would've loved to translate if it were Dutch (Afrikaans is really helpful in that area)..... and i'm thinking of learning German after i finish French
