as of right now...i am not going to hate on EA because in a strange weird reason...I think they are learning how not to bite the hand thta feeds...unlike Activision who is now the new EA of gaming.

I hate you Marx83. Your one of the people who would say any bad thing about people just for the fun of it. You may say EA is the most hated. But you probably would say there's 100 most hated companys, just because your a son of a hugmonster.

Ah, a blast from the past. I remember reading this back from when I was a lurker, and I never posted. It's an important thing to remember about this thread; it's really, really old. Back in the days when hopes were higher and expectation was bubbling due to the demo clips.

I hate EA from the very bottom of my heart (and I have a deep heart), but not because of Spore. If it were only Spore, I wouldn't really care.

No; it was the fact that they killed SimCity which made me hate them for life. And a lot of the stuff they pulled with Sims 2 and 3.

Basically, EA has been killing Maxis slowly. I suspect that by Sims 4 that series will be dead, and that will make Will Wright's two greatest creations have failed due to EA.

R.I.P. SimCity series. I suspect Spore and Sims will soon be joining you in your degraded, oversimplified hell. But maybe not. If EA can pull it together before Sims Three falls, there might be hope yet.

Here's hoping, anyway.

Yeah, it's really a shame about simcity. At least SC4 was awesome but there would always be room for improvement.

Yep. Luckily, there's Monty Cristo with CitiesXL. I've played it, and it's as good as SimCity4 at least, maybe even better.

This is just downright stupid... if you don't like maxis, don't buy their games! I remember when my friend wouldn't watch Transformers because he didn't like Micheal Bay! Who cares? If it's a good movie, then i watch it, I really don't care who directed it... it's the same here, who cares about EA? Spore is good, and i don't care about the director or actor or creator... as long as it's a good game or movie or anything, i'll play it or watch it, etc....

I think Marx was originally talking about the fact that the game didn't meet his expectations, not that he disliked EA.

Compare EA's popularity to when it Dissolved West Wood studios and EA Pacific, back then, people associated EA with the Devil for their deed, now we have a much more relaxed opinion of them.

Wow. The name "Marek" sounds familiar. Isn't he that guy from the Yugioh Abridged series? I stopped watching the real Yugioh years and years ago I just watch the Abridged ones because they're funny as crap and they beat up the old guy in it a lot.

That is Marik i believe...Marek Steele was an Imperial pilot in Star Wars "Mythology".
