New spore patch has arrived (Spore v1.01)

Since 'new' is getting somewhat ambiguous

Yea, don't know what the deal was chief. Couldn't get it to open. Tried in Firefox & Internet E. I am going to pass on patch 1.01 for now and wait till something cleaner arrives. Until then, Fish On! Thanx a bunch Crypton & anyone else that posted on my posts behalf

He doesn't need the EADM. He just downloads the rar, unrars it, and then opens the patch

The EADM is entirely cosmetic and only used to monitor people's downloads by EA.

Because the patch works without it even installed (that's where I come up with the conclusion).

Hey guys, i love all this bickering because of me .......... but I think I am going to wait on patching for now. I just keep hearing the not so good horror stories of this patch. Thanx though

Ok, for the record, I installed the patch provided by theultimateend and as far as I can tell, it works fine. No hang ups, connects to Spore perfectly, all my junk is still there and it installed in less that 5 minutes. Where is the rub? Are all these ppl that have trouble using HP's from Wally World

It worked fine for me too, it was just that stupid issue of not being able to use a trainer on it anymore (I can barely play it without one because of boredom).

If there was a "depatcher" without reinstalling, I would try using the filefront patch, but as it is, I don't feel like reinstalling and having to repollinate all the creatures into "My creations" from the "everything" sporepedia.
