HELP!!!!

i go onto the downloadmanager and download the patch and when i go onto spore and it wants me to download it again so i do and i go back onto spore and it wants me to download it again and it keeps on doing it so I wenty on to spore and ignored the the download thing and try out one of the NEW cheats and it didnt work



WHAT SHOULD I DO

I am pretty sure the patch was posted on the forums a few dozen times, check - I know I posted at least once for the patch download - try filefront - use the search option.

1: Yes and No - You can download it from FileFront : HERE
2: Above link works for me - might be your browser or browser settings not allowing EXE - or AntiVirus may be blocking it - turn off AntiVirus if you have it.
3: No, wait for a proper patch to prevent possible frustration

that is the initial patch... the one to patch it from version 1.00 to 1.01
this new patch, assuming it is just 0.01 higher than the last patch, should then be 1.02

Speaking of paying attention - did you look at the post date and time on that post? "09/18/2008 23:56:46" - I remember that post the day the patch was released..

and also... HOW CAN YOU DOWNLOAD THE PATCH IF THE GAME CRASHES AS SOON AS IT IS STARTED ?

HONESTLY... ITS LIKE TRYING TO PUT ON A HAT TO KEEP THE SUN OUT OF YOUR EYES, WHEN THE HAT CAN ONLY BE PUT ON IF THE SUN ISNT OUT...

plz release a direct download so those of us who cant even start the game can actually patch it...
if you cant start the game, you cant get the patch download to be able to fix the problem that is causing the game to crash on startup... its useless if it you cant even start the game

pay attention... that link is to the original patch... WE DONT NEED THE ORIGINAL PATCH WE NEED THE NEW ONE THEY JUST RELEASED

Chill man - I am not sure if there is a "new patch" - I am not being prompted at all for any patch. Only one I see is 1.01 currently.. If there is a new one out besides 1.01 not seeing anything about it anywhere..

I replied to it because I was replying to someone asking about the patch etc.. who had posted just a little while ago - Do you read much ???

dont even start with me... im angry... they need a direct download patch to fix the startup-crash error, becase without a direct download, i cant fix the startup-crash error, because i cant start up the game to get the oatch through eadm...
making eadm utterly useless
so im kinda not in the mood

OK I have been quoted a couple of times and yes I was referring to the original (And only patch I know of so far) patch.

If you can't get the patch to download through the EADM it is still posted at Fileshack and Gamespot.com has it in their downloads for Spore. http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/spore/downloads.html?tag=tabs;downloads

I gave up trying to play the patched version, too buggy and too many invisible creatures kicking my backside. I un-installed and reinstalled using one of my 5 activations so I have 3 left. But the game runs fine for me, the only thing I miss personally from the patch was the information you could get on body parts in the creature creator when you pointed to it and pressed the I key. If you want to play and you can't get the patched version to run the way you want it to, or at all for those whose game was really broken by the patch and only crashes or fails to start, I strongly suggest that you start over, especially if your game ran OK on the initial install.
