I've had that happen to me too, several times now (including this poll lol) ...so if a poll isn't showing up, just log out, & log back in while in the forums, THEN go to the poll page. If it's still not showing up, logout, restart your browser & try again.

no i ment i couldn't find the date the poll ended (which i now know is june 9 thanks to MrFisto) the poll was there the whole time thanks anyways though!

Yeah it was originally posted as June 9th(when the poll was first posted), but it seems that they removed the date since then. Maybe Maxis Cactus could verify it for us?

What are the qualifications to even be picked and voted on? I don't understand why I was picked under a different name with another creation either. I certainly didn't vote for it. Who would have(I got 1 vote so thanks to whoever did vote for me). I'm not saying I could have won. I'm saying this creation would have done better and was wondering why it wasn't picked over the other(under name JohnKnapple). Wow my sisters boyfriend will be surprised he was picked for a contest he didn't enter.

MC - thanks for the additional large renders and for the poster. Very nice and am interested, if they become available.

I see that a few folks got upset that three of my creations got selected. To tell the truth it made my day to see three selected and gave me a good feeling to be thus recognized. I wasn't expecting much and was just having fun with creating. So for me that recognition was plenty enough. And I don't mind that I was a guinea pig of sorts either with votes split. I'm just happy that a few people liked what I did. And I'm sorry that it resulted in bad feelings for others.

For those who complained, what is fair or just sometimes depends on your perspective. Is it fair to not recognize a creation or artificially restrict the number of entries from a creator? If so, then why aren't the same complaints being made about the MPN and further entries by people that already have the FPN achievement. If we follow the same logic, only one creation per creator ought to be considered and once you have FPN, then you ought to be out of the running for any contest or MPN recognition so that others have more opportunity. Being consistent seems pretty fair. If you are willing to go all the way, then I'm with ya. If you are just grousing about one contest, well that just sounds like sour grapes.

Personally, I'd like to see as much opportunity as possible for recognizing creative talent. I'd like to see more contests and not just have one place, MPN, to showcase work. I'd love to see a separate widget for most popular for new creators with say under 1,000 comments, another for children and younger players, and even specialized widgets for buildings, spacecraft, critters and such. I sometimes think that there is simply not enough opportunity for recognition for all the wonderful stuff folks do and that leads to gaming the MPN and sometimes forgetting that this is after all just a game. It's fun and wonderful, but not something that builds your resume for a job or puts food on the table.

A lot of people have bought the game and it seems to me that if something is offered as an achievement, it out to be attainable. The number of FPN opportunities seems way out of proportion to the number of players and creators, making it so much more difficult to attain than any of the other achievements. I sure wish there was some way to offer more opportunities to more people. I think that would go a long way toward keeping faith with people that bought the game expecting a fair shake.

LOL Thanks for listening and for the opportunity to be among many, many talented creators. The contest was fun because it was a chance to try some different stuff. I guess I can finally get some real life things done now and stop checking the post every hour to see if I got those last two votes.
