Assuming you've installed it in the default location, C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\SPORE\Data

How do you install it? When i clicked it it said "do you want to run or save athis program?"
If i click run it says that it can't find the file location or something.
If i click save it saves it but the icon says "shortcut" and if i click it it says the same as if i click run.

EDIT: Nevermind, I think I've got it.

The optimist sees a glass as half full, the pessimist sees the glass as half empty and The Grox sees the glass as a threat and blasts it to pieces.

Expanded Travel Radius Mod

This mod increases the travel radius when in the galactic core zone to 10 parsecs (a travel radius of 9.8 parsecs is needed to reach all the stars in the galactic core area). This mod will work with your current saved games.

To use it, save it to your Spore Data folder. You’ll need to have updated to patch three in order to run this mod. If you patch your Spore game after using this mod, this file will be automatically deleted. To get the mod after patching, simply download it again.

This mod is available for both PC and Mac.

Note: despite what several people are saying, you do not need a mod to whipe out the Grox's distant planets although you cannot conquer them yourself. What you do is place monoliths on planets in and around their territory and raise and ally with the resulting space civilizations. The Grox have a fatal flaw in their AI programming that can be exploited this way. Grox are only programmed to attack the players (grox probes are in fact unrelated to grox activity in itself) but the same is not true of other space civs, they will try to expand into Grox territory, and finding that they cannot go elsewhere will begin taking the nearest Grox worlds, including the ones that cannot normally be reached. A mod is not necessary to defeat the Grox, but monoliths are.

Proof or it didn't happen. No way the closest planet for the uplifted civ is going to be a lonely grox planet three parsecs away. Might work once... but up to twenty times? HA! No-one has that much time or luck.

Quite probably there will be a solution to this problem, but you'll have to pay 40 quid for it.

There is a space adventures EP due out Q1 next year, I would imagine/hope there is something inherent in that that addresses this issue. I suspect they didn't test to see if the Grox could be defeated - it seems they were a bit of a late add-on to the game, probably after someone played it for a bit and thought, um... this is a bit thin... so they stuck in an unachievable goal to keep everyone duly occupied.

your probably right there, with the expansion, they probably made an un acheivable goal to keep people occupied while they bring out an expansion that will make it acheivable, it will probably add to the Grox story line, so if you defeat them all it will ruin your game since the expansion will have no story line

I was under the impression that each "game planet" is a unique Galaxy, as far as species, evolution, alliances, territory, and philosophies go. Now, apparently items and such are not unique to a game galaxy as you could drop 30 million Spucks on a planet and have a different game go to that planet and pick it up...but as far as races go...I've actually run into my own species that exist in different games, this may warrant testing.

EDIT: I stopped reading after page 8, so I appologize if this question was previously brought up.

i don't use my mac much (i only use it for bootcamp) and i even know it's not supposed to be like that. i think this must be that problem with quicktime 7.6 that stopped games from running. try and get the patch from aspyr.

PS: even the last post date is recent (the post above yours) i will still call this a necro.*
