With all the stability complaints I am of the opinion even with 19 pages, that people with technical issues are a minority, but more vocal since they are having the issues, 19 pages (and many messages from repeat posters) is merely a drop in the bucket compared to the registered issues. SO please, please, you dont need to leave a comment just vote on the poll so we can get a general idea of whats going on.

No issues none at all. My game has never had any major problems I consider myself lucky. I fixed a cell->creature phase crash by lowering the cache in game settings so some people might want to try that .

Anyways like I said runs fine got the patch everything is good to go.

Love the game maxis . Screw you EA

My game is running fine now, though it had a ton of issues described amongst others of the same. Seems to be running fine now with every setting back on Default, slight issues but just bugs - no major crashes.

I has patch, no stability issues.

Is one thing Maxis got right.

The problem is that Spore has become a coloring book instead of a chemistry set

... a 5-3 ratio of something causing problems is bad though. Personally, I think that the patch just really screwed up system requirements so people on lower end of things got the hose.

excellent choice for a poll! The numbers are pretty much what most people expected. Almost wish it was divided up into two polls, so we could see how many people went from working to non-working, or just the opposite.

I have some minor issues with the game, but have been reluctant to try the patch given that people also have problems after the patch or have new problems. Perhaps the results of this poll will make me a little more optimistic when thinking about installing it myself, though.

Im looking at the poll right now just voted cause i was fine at all high 1600x1200 pre patch and am now running everything on medium with shading and lighting on low, visual effects HAS to be on low and getting pretty bad choppiness all over the place: the splash movie on startup, the galaxy planet select, in game even with all low settings and lowest resolution it gets smooth framerate wise but still will "lag" up from time to time.

33 people ok in the poll 18 not ok, thats a catastrophic failure in the software business. You guys and all this vocal minority crud are blowing me away what do you care? Is there some need to protect poor EA? Do you think were just making it up? I have a MSCS and 15 years in IT and development, running a clean as a baby gaming rig(xp hardly any services running no AV, behind firewall, minimal services, bout 20 other games that work perfectly).

I never cared to much for the whole hate EA thing but this patch alone is sooo telling about their testing and release process. Why do you think people love Blizzard so much, cause they have an insanely strict test and release process.

And to top this all off they release right before the weekend and don't have a single community manager to simply post a thread and say "hey send your reports here, include your dxdiag, etc, we are working on it, oh and by the way we do actually value your business".

I didn't install it. The game runs pretty good for me, and I'm afraid the patch might wreck it.

Why don't I have an avatar or sig yet?

I didn't have a signature so I went and got one.

Just finished reinstalling due to all of the bugs in the patch... I'll wait a bit. Game crashed 2-3 times total before, 2-3 times per hour with.
