Maxis needs to focus on making updates for Spore itself, and quit attempting these console games. They are going to suck in the light of real Spore. Doing all this for console games is a waste of time, in my opinion.

At least make Darkspore as a update for the original Spore, and not a kiddie game for the PS3 that neglects to include the factors that make Spore a unique game in the first place, such as creativity, sharing with the community, and creating your own backstory for your game, and not having the game guide it for you.

Darkspore is a good idea unto itself, but making it as a stand-alone quest game on the PS3 is a bad idea. Probably half of Spore customers don't have a PS3 in the first place. But all Spore customers have a computer. So release a Darkspore expantion for Spore. You would get much more money that way.

I am a huge fan of Maxis, but I, along with the rest of the community are not happy with the recent turn of events. You need to focus more on your prime product, Spore, and less on other stand alones. I personaly like template challenges, but this "dark" theme has worn away my creativity.

Don't get me wrong, I love Maxis and Spore. But this is a HUGE mistake.

He's right! That happened to me too, with my main captains planet, and after I got the mech parts, the tribal stage kept freezing! Fix the glitches!
