i just stopped leveling my guys cuz it got too boring once you get past like level 4 u have to start getting like 750 pts for each level while most adventures are 10 and 15 and even high point adventures arent that good..

Quick Play.
It's really hard to find missions in Space and I'd much rather choose which ones I play.

I grind on my rank 4 captain on Spoffits for one point per kill, only three hundred more before rank 5.

But seriously, I level up my captains via Quick Play in which I have total control over which adventure I play, plus I can freely choose my posse if the adventure in question is open crew.

LOL i love how no one did space stage yet... I have 3 rank 10 captains so far I use quick play 2 BTW

My captain is only lev. 2, so i'm getting space stage missions to get him to where I can have my desired equipment.

I was playing missions out of the space stage for a while because they were giving me all the 100 point missions. Then I couldn't find any more missions to do and I went to quick play to find the worthwhile adventures.

Sadly though, most of those are hard to come by are usually so many points because they're glitched (i.e, you spawn under the map, like in a certain space station mission).

Honestly, I use Quick Play. I've always been more of a tinkering creator than a player... I mean, the Spore series is the first video game I've actually purchased in at least 5 years. Any other games I just rent or play at a friend's house or something; I'm just not a huge gamer overall. I love the fact, however, that this is sort of the "SimEverything" (regardless of the limitations), and it fulfills my long-held desire of being an active participant in the gaming experience. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than bringing a creation to life and having people like it... no other game provides that, and so that's why I do Quick Play. I can build up my captain without worrying about Space Stage. What's funny though is that I haven't even tried playing Space Stage since I got GA... I AM curious, indeed, but just more motivated to make/play adventures than I am to play the core Spore.

Let me also say that I think doing missions in Space Stage is totally pointless to begin with. I've learned with time that missions are about the lamest way to make Sporebucks/progress, and I imagine it's no different now. In the last 7-9 months, all the Space Stage games I started had little if no mission play... they are simply not worth the time compared to a good strategy of harvesting/selling spice. So, that's why Quick Play makes more sense to me... I can successfully play Space Stage without really taking on any missions except the required ones. After that, my main focus is setting up spice operations, finding new resources, befriending/destroying empires as needed, etc.
