Here is an alternative that uses a single teleporter.

In this method, the NPC reappears immediately.

I was actually planning to do that in a mission where a line of NPCs keeps going into a building from another building, using the same NPCs teleporting to the back of the line when they go into the building. It makes an infinite line of people going into one building.
