I don't know if you guys have noticed this but I have recently wondered why do you have sooo many advertisements now? I've been getting a lot of pop-ups from your site and there is also adult advertising in the actual site. The censored proof is on the right hand side of the two pictures.

And they said Macs couldn't get viruses. That looks like a patently viral ad-replacer. When I look at Sporepedia, the only ad I see there is one for that sculpture thing where you can get a 3d model of your favorite Spore creature.

Try my first published adventure, "Colonies Past", an ode to SimAnt.

How can it be a virus?

WTF?! Now that is going a little too far. A lot of sites have advertizing, but that's crossing the line. Little kids play this game....Although you're right, most likely a virus.

My Profile Once, there was a little girl named Angie. She was a good child, always doing what she was told. One day, however, Angie had a babysitter and a dream. Freddy. Freddy told her things, secrets in her dream while she napped. The babysitter was never seen again. Angie's mom came home. The little girl sliced off her wrists then threw her heart into the fireplace. Angie's dad came home. She stabbed him in the gut then threw his head into the snow outside. Angie was never seen again. She is the dark voice inside our minds, twisting and smashing us. She is deep inside the blackest hearts. So fear... Fear for you and your loved. Angie and her knife are with us still today.

lNow shoo or I will sic Angie on you...

None of you care about me, I could stab myself and you'd turn your back. So why should I have sympathy for you?

I guess I'm mature enough to not really care, but I'm surprised that Spore.com has that kind of advertisements. I've never actually seen them, but little kids do go on. However, you can potentially see that on any website, it's just the downside of going online, I guess.

Well, I'm doing a virus check now (even though I don't believe it is one) and I will post if the results came back positive or negative.

Why do you need to do a virus check at the moment?

Because I am highly positive I have no virus that is causing this so I just want to make sure it is the site - not my Mac. If I can confirm it is the site then Maxis can try to fix it.

I seriously doubt that is being caused by a virus, it's probably just a random advertisement, but I guess there's no harm in checking.

Well I haven't ever seen that kind of advertising on this site before, and I don't know anybody who has. Being a PC user, I might be a little more paranoid of viruses, but I wouldn't put it past a Mac virus to swap out advertising codes to pull spots from adult sites for hit-money.
