Goodbye, Sporenaissance. I didn't post here too much, but I checked in here almost daily to see all the highlights and all the other awesome creations showcased here. You folks did so much to help this game and I only wish it could last just a bit longer. May Spore live on forever!

@ grindstone: just a few more days... I have contacted two persons, Slarti and Sefmonsta, who might want to say something before this topic officially closes down. After Sefmonsta's message and maybe of Slarti, I will post my last message as well and ask Vektrix to lock the topic

I can't believe that a place as amazing as this is shutting down. The memories here are incredible. It makes me sad deep down to hear that most everyone here is leaving, though that doesn't mean that I will. I've been busy latley, and inspiration has begun to arise once more. I doubt I'll be leaving Spore anytime soon.

However, I have been wondering. Where exactly is everyone going? Is anyone at all staying on Spore? If not, where would I be able to see their work?

@ Gengar114: lot of (ex)Spore folks are on deviantART. I will give you a link to my page, I do have another username there (DutchDays). You can see a list of Spore folks I have friended on my page there. It's quite a Spore reunion on deviantART and you can show all kind of things: paintings, photos, 3D art, Spore creations...

No. SPORE. Why did I have exams to do? Not only did I miss the contest, but I only just saw this place is closing. I wasn't very active here, but I always thought this place was one of the last strongholds of the old days and now it's going.

Since this place is gone I imagine I'll be taking my final leave of this game. Thank you Sporenaissance for keeping this game and forum alive for longer than I ever would have imagined.

I'm really sad this thread has come to an end, and will probably want to go back to it even after it's been locked just to make sure I didn't miss anything... so many contests, creations, discussions, helpful hints and bags of inspiration.

Great job on ALL the creations made for the Age Of Discovery contest (I've left comments on some of them).

For anyone leaving to newer pastures (Sculptris etc.) - I'm gonna be branching out too, so look for sefmonsta on YouTube to see what I'm working on mostly (I have a DeviantArt page with nothing on it so far, but that will hopefully change soon). I'll be up for making Spore creations for a while longer yet too... at least until something similar/as adaptable and powerful comes along to replace it (I'm working on a creation right now). There are still lots of people on Spore who can see my creations and wow me with theirs... but things will seem a bit emptier after this thread has closed for sure.

Farewell Sporenaissance!

It was roughly six months before when a group of spore veterans had decided to come together and save the community. They were mainly the following three: Ansje, GrandPeep, and Darwinken. All three great creators, all three great persons. They hosted contests and built fantastic trophies (techno605). With all of this, better creators were formed. New people came to show their talent and succeeded. Only roughly six months ago.

Now the time has come for these people to leave. Some forever, some for a very long time, and for others, it was uncertain whether or not they'd return. Now, they make their final contest, Pick their final winners, and Move on for greater things in their life than a couple micrometers of silicon in a machine.

While they leave, others still stay. Others come to recollect and reform the spore community, they attempt to bring in a closer community, and a much better place. This is the upcoming reform era of spore, the Respormation. A new community with the same people. One in which all creators are registered the same way and therefore will have an equal chance at everything. This new community will be the bypass surgery of this community; its aid in health.



A special note to Ansje, darwinken, and GrandPeep:

I want to thank you for all that you've done. Your contests and care for the community was something that no one else would be willing to do. You've helped do all the things you said you would, and though all others left, you still remained for the longest. I want to thank you for inspiring me to create and help bring up this community.

Well, with the final closing of this thread and as we all go our seperate ways, I just wanted to thank you for the months of activity this place has had that I have been a part (even a minor part) of and that I, among many others, checked this place on a daily basis to see the daily highlights and such. I just wanted to, you know, share my gratefullness with you three, and the many others who were involved here, including grindstone, ArdTree, and many, many others. Your creations were a source creativity and happiness to me and (hopefully), many others, and many others in the future as well.

Well, I guess this is my real last message on the Sporenaissance, although if grindstone's "Respormation" works out I'll most certainly hop on over there, although it still will not be the same.

I will wait just a bit before contacting Vektrix so Slarti has the opportunity to post something. He is as silent as I am talkative, so we do have a little problem here. Just kidding, it's no problem, we're good friends anyway, but if he doesn't post a message I will say something myself about his initiative and the start of this project in my final goodbye.

@ grindstone: better don't wait for this Sporenaissance topic to be closed down before you start up the Respormation!

This place really put a new burst of life into Spore and it's community. It really is a shame that it's having to close down. Real life ruins everything good.

Thank you so much to Ansje, darwinken and grandpeep, especially and also to all the other creators involved for all the effort they have put in to make the Sporenaissance such a lively and interesting place.

It's sad to see this place closing. I am beginning to make the transition to Deviantart, and i will go there once i see the spore community proper as dead. It hasn't come to that yet. I'm going to spend my long summer learning digital painting and finally getting used to digital drawing, for when i make the move to deviantart. Aswell as learning Java, Mandarin Chinese and making an epic Spore adventure. (I doubt any of them will really happen)

Goodbye to the Sporenaissance, and thank you to all it's creators and what you have done for Spore
