EA definitely needs to address this issue and remove the DRM completely. This is not just some vocal minority on a forum - this is a large chunk of your forum-going fan-base, who just happen to be speaking for those who aren't around to be heard.

Most of us could could care less. People whining about this complain just to complain. First you don't need to install it on 5 computers, be real. Second, they will give additional keys when/if you need them.

IF you won't install it due to the security its time for a new tin foil hat.

Oh nice...
1)Most of these problems stem from the fact that people upgraded their hardware in the computer (ie: hard drive, memory, CD burner...etc). When you first install Spore, it registers just about every piece of hardware in your computer, and then submits that to EA...You change one part, it's a different computer now. That's ONE INSTALL GONE. Reformatting also does this.
2)Most people aren't looking to install on 5 computers. They BOUGHT the game, they should have the RIGHT to install and uninstall at their convenience...not have to call a customer support line (NOT TOLL FREE BTW).
3)I'm going to laugh if a month from now you're on these forums stating that you had to reformat your computer because secretly, with out your knowledge, EA had opened a back door to your computer for viruses, troans, malware and spyware to invade.

Wah!
Spode requires a donation of 120,000 bumps.

Perhaps what should be done is that games decrease in price to nearly nothing (5 or 10 bucks), are only sold digitally online or at the store via a digital download onto a thumbdrive, then have to be played online like a mmorpg but with a smaller fee. Perhaps 40 bucks a year with a minimum subscription of 1 year. The actual playtime of most games is rarely a year unless they are real good ones. Perhaps each copy would have 5 screen names allowable also with additional screen names for a nominal fee (5 to 10 bucks more per).

LoL...Ive been playing Ragnarok Online for over three years...however, I moved to an (illegal) private server that had better gameplay after 2 years on the official pay-to-play server. So games can be played for more than a year (not arguing with you, just showing the other sides for the dev team).

Yeah I know... But my way they make the money they were going to make on sales of boxes without the manufacturing of cd/dvds and packaging then distribution. Perhaps its a way for some companies to proceed without a publisher too.

And thus, Spode did decree upon the hill top of wildflowers brought from the center by Steve: "I shall BUMP these flowers out of EXISTENCE!!" And yey did he run and trample those wildflowers in the act now known as "Bumping," and Steve did nothing but sit and watch...and cry.

Oh...btw, if you read this far...this is a bump!

"Why?" Steve did ask himself, "Why did Spode turn out to be suck a little BUMPING BRAT?!"

And overhearing Steve in all his pain and suffering, so did Spode run up to him and ask the following; "Why so glum, idiot?"
And Steve did stand up and yey did he start bumping the tiny machines Spode did create and love so much. And then did he say, "How does it feel (female dog)?!"

Afterthought:
I'm suddenly gaining immense pleasure from bumping this and using Spode and Steve...LOL

And so, in their waning days of friendship, did Spode entirely and irrefutably piss off Steve. And in the end, when their time together came to the moment of parting, yey did Spode say unto Steve: "IMMA BUMPIN MAH LAZER!!"

And yet, as Steve did dodge the glorious beam of blue and white light, he then did realize that "God Spode is SPORE'd up!"

So it came to pass that Steve did return t the center of all, and began working on his street smarts. And woe was Spode, as he no longer had any friends to fire his lazer at. And so did Spode begin to create friends, moulding them from BUMPS!
