Dr. Pepper Robot parts troubleshooting and other stuff

I'm in the middle of putting a code in and Spore is not showing up on the list. Any ideas for this problem?

That's really weird. I have the download problem where it sends you to your MySpore page. This problem of yours seems to be new. I understand, also, that they mentioned they tried something to fix the downloads, but this didn't work for me.

The robot parts pack does not show up as registered on your spore games list. Is this an unused code you're using, and did you enter the same email you used for Spore? If not then you can make a new dr. pepper account with the correct email this time. Try the workaround on the first page as well.

Also another player reported success in pressing back and restarting, so try to redeem it again then press back and do it again, just make sure you do it as in the first page.

The simprograms download should work but it's not endorsed by Maxis/ EA.

Simprogram download works like a charm when u download it but the only way u can share ur creatures is if ur account says u do hav the parts

Since Maxis is working hard to get these problems fixed, I'll wait it out. Thanks again to both you and BooneBum for the suggestions about simsprograms. I do have the icon on my page, so if Maxis says they give up on fixing the problems, I'll check them out again.

i got the error 500 thing, i did what it said and it's still there!

Just check the EA Download manager,It apears automaticly

Just to check back in, the bot parts download issue is now confirmed to be fixed. Anyone who was having an issue over the last week should now be set to try using your code again to get the parts.

Hi I dont know if this is the right place to ask, but I tried to redeem my code and everything went fine. Until i went to have EADM download my parts. Thats when I found my EADM folder was empty. So I reinstalled from the Spore site. Now I keep getting this message when I try to do anything involving the EADM " EA download manager tried to launch an external application but the path was invalid. please try again, or reinstall EADM"
Well ive reinstalled a few times and tried again a few times. Any suggestions?

I have tried clearing my cache and stuff but when ever i try to download it, I get a 500 error message is there anything else i can try

Do you have Spore and EADM installed in the default location?

Sinless_Shadow, try using another browser like FF3 or IE7/8 and try again today. Usually 500 errors are temporal.

Im pretty sure. I just installed it where it asked me to.

programfiles/electronicarts/EAdownloadmanager

I think thats where its going.

Spore should be in C:/Program files/electronic arts/spore.
Check that too. Also when you reinstall do you use the latest version which you can get from spore.com/patch?

Yeah spore is installed to that path and I used the latest version

Could you post a screenshot of the error? Also turn off user-ran background tasks like anti-virus programs and firewalls and try again. Also exit EADM and run it again but select run as administrator now. Be sure to be logged in.

If nothing works, you can always get it off simprograms.
