Patch 5: Asymmetry Notes

Great work, Maxis. Now if only we had people like you over on Phantasy Star Universe.

All I can say is what everyone has already said:

Mine crashed when I updated it.....still getting a error: Configuration script fail [2000]....clicked ok then this error: Could not find a needed package. The data directory is missing or corrupt.[1004]...clicked ok...and can't even get in spore... YAY!

It's supposed to do that. Just let it run for a while (the time it takes is linked to the amount of creations in your sporepedia). It only has to do this once.

no no you dont see, it and everything else FREEZES. it doesn't move at all, and I have to force quit it to get out. Ive reset my computer count less times, and the same problem remains. any help to that? please!!!

No, it'll look like it froze, but you just have to let it sit for however long it takes. I had about 30,000 assets in my sporepedia and it took about 20 minutes. If it crashes before it can finish, you have a problem. From what I can tell, you'll just have to let it sit there until it's done. Close any programs you have running in the background (that aren't necessary) to speed it up.

Is the patch available for steam copies yet? It seems to think it's fully updated.

I just found out, You will need to re-install spore I did it and it works for me now.

ok i took the advice and reinstalled spore GA but how do i reinstall the patch? thanks btw

you must uninstall SPORE and GA then reinstall it worked for me... i hope this help

My sister downloaded this and her game was slowed down. Is this something that could have happened before the download or does this happen with the patch? If it's something with the patch, please fix it because I want to make a Grox.
