You'll now run into cube planets in Space stage, and you'll be able to colonize, terraform, and interact with these just like other planets. Here's a preview of what you'll be seeing.

Also, we're tracking all issues you report here so we can tackle these as soon as possible.

I've reported the hard drive space problem on to the team. Please keep in mind that the patch itself doesn’t add much of any size to the existing installation. However, there is some temporary room needed to cache the patch during installation.

I've also reported the install failures, I'll send an update if I hear more info.

Patch 3: Spiral planet's, flat planet's (now if you would put some people on there they have a reason to think the world is flat)

WOAH.

Obviously I misunderestimated you guys.

Could you perhaps make planet size more dynamic at some point? I tried modding the planet generation sizes to be 5x - 500 to 2500 - but the atmosphere and the like didn't go with it. Not to mention, homeworlds and plot worlds weren't effected. Of course, that's just a random little request. You've got plenty on your plate already, so take your time.

Thanks for reporting it MaxisCactus.

That cube planet looks seriously cool. If I can get the patch installed, I wonder if we will be able to play the creature stage on it...?

I think it was a matter of "You know, in retrospect, maybe this wasn't such a good idea."

You can consider yourself an owner of an unofficial Bad Baby achievement.

I applied the second patch and still have the Bug where the Staff of Life Crashes to the desktop when the scale reaches the T2 level. The Staff of Life originally worked fine and for a number of times (and with different save games) and then all of a sudden, I received crashes whenever it is used. I was hoping the new patch would address this issue.

My computer system has the latest drivers and exceeds all specs. Any suggestions? Reinstall maybe?

This is great!!

Hopefully this will quiet some of the unbelievers.
Like I said before it takes time to create good updates.

Thanks a lot

We're barely halfway october and we got 2 patches, that's quite fast I think. And adding stuff on top of it. even if it's, seemly something simple as a different shape.
