Of course they listen to us, we are their beta testers.

Just tossing in my thanks to the devs as always, because positive encouragement is rarefied in this arena

I still haven't had any technical issues in-game thankfully, but I likes me some patches anyway.

For all my complaining, this is great to read. Thank you Maxis! I'm looking forward to seeing what your team has accomplished I'm also looking forward to Uber Turrets blasting my enemies to bits while I'm away

Though unannounced, I'm pretty sure this was fixed in the previous patch. I now get messages quite frequently in this vein:
"Your city on planet blah is under attack!"
30 seconds go by...
"Peace! Your civilization on planet blah is no longer under attack."

Without my having done anything.

Disregard if you haven't installed the one patch yet, of course.

Oh I know, I just can't play that patch

Hence my excitement over the new one! *confetti*

Can we expect new cheats and whatnot as well?

I wonder if I should get the next patch. I have not had any problems with the last patch. Maxis says this new patch will focus on fixing bugs. Well, what if my game does not have any bugs?

While new cheats would be great, I would rather they focus on bug fixes. Not that I have any though.

I didn't have any problems at all with the first one, but yay, new patch! I'm interested in seeing what new cheats there might be, anyway.

I like Spore. However, I am NOT twelve years old, nor a 'casual gamer', nor ignorant or in denial. I'm just a person who likes games, and happens to like one you don't. Go ahead and hate on the game all you want, but please, stop insulting/generalizing the people who DO like it. Thanks.

My bugs with the first patch were minimal, but now that I think about it, they did exist. And I've been experiencing the delayed sounds and effects problem recently, though that was made much better by turning off Depth of Field. (?)

Either way, just because I didn't realize they were bugs doesn't mean they weren't they or weren't annoying me without my noticing. So I can't wait to see the next patch. (And I can't wait for the big bugs to be fixed for those who ARE having big problems so they have more time to work on expanding the game with new features, either via patch or expansion. A mix of both would do.)

I will say that the first patch fixed the problem of Uber Turrets being useless when not there, big improvement. Are the turrets on colonies taken into consideration as well? Because I still feel like as soon as I get there, finally they decide to kill the attackers.

Hopefully this patch will stop people from quitting spore, it's a great game, but people see a few bugs, and get all mad, look for more bugs, which they find but takes they fun out of the game, and quit. lowering the community and making it less fun for the people who enjoy it. either way spore still needs ALOT of work, but it's still fun.

The attention from the developers is appreciated. I do hope, however, that we don't have another delay for the Mac Minority.

"We've released the patch! This patch is for PC - Mac users should check back next week!"

[Two weeks pass, still no Mac patch]

I understand the need to address the problems of the majority of users first, but our 50 bucks made the same sound in the cash register as everybody else's...

(I use both platforms, by the way, without prejudice.)
