I have been playing Spore since 2008. I lurked on the Sporum for a while, then made my first post in 2011.

Been playing Spore since late 2008, although I quit like in December or so. I didn't come here until early 2009 though.

Also, I'm in a weird hiatus where I just tend to disappear randomly. So that happened a bit.

Ok.. LOL EVERYBODY got it in early 2008, before it was even released to the general public, but didn't bother to get online accounts and played totally without connecting to the sporepedia for like 4 years or anything until a year or so ago in 2011/12 when they started posting again, inexplicably acting like total noobs asking noob questions until this topic comes up.

Length of time playing Spore, or purported length of time playing Spore is about as much value as the number of posts garnered playing "bash the player below me before he bashes me while saying what the grox did next".

Yeah, and through the short revival. I miss that site. Lot of people here would benefit from it. That and the old PBL site. I miss that like crazy too.

I'm still around. Sometimes people tell me that I used to be pretty big in the Spores community.

The spaghetti monster is certainly a developing trend lately.

I got it back at about the time it first came out. My brother used to have an account (Turntable). 2 years later I'm searching for it and finally find it, make an account and BAM! MassiveBlackHole exists.

I got SPORE in 2010, I just forgot to check before I posted. XP. I have gone by the name 'lilcream' most of this time. I hated it, So I figgered out how to make a new one. (lilcream was my brother's idea, known as MarkyShark now)

Yeah I think people take their join date a bit seriously. I mean, if someone joined on December 31st 2009 are they veterans while people that joined a day later are not? It doesn't matter that much, it's just that the only objective "cut off" points can be full years. So if you joined on January 1st 2009 and you consider a veteran one that joined in 2008, then tough luck lol.

Only just found this buried in the thread.

I guess the boundary would be say if you got Spore before June 1st 2009, I guess you'd be classed as a "Veteran" of sorts.

Well, I did not bu spore in 2008 I was playing the trail version, and watching everything related to spore.

Whenever I hear of a 2008 member, I only hear about how you have quit and returned about this time. That doesn't make you a veteran. You quit the game.
