Hey, btw, who designed your awesome sig?

The creature is my Verteller, who travel the galaxy to record the myths, ballads, epic sagas and morality tales of any species who will tell them. They also collect art and artifacts, especially if there is a story or saga associated with them.

The sig was created by N-Gin_Creator whose work I really enjoy. He created several for me, but this creature is one of three that really mean something deep to me. I think he really caught what the creature (and I as a writer) are all about.

Video games = win.
anyone who says video games are a waste of time, say video games suck,or that a cartoon/comic/anything i didnt mention is better than a video game can go die from a creeper,a metroid,or a reaper.

I never played Metroid, but you're right, in the siggy he does look like Ridley. That's hilarious.

Somebody told me the Battayn Huntmasters look like Ganon. I'd never seen him either. I couldn't get into Zelda.

I'm pretty single minded. Pokemon...

Well, as long as we're talking about Spore stuff and how it the other stuff shows up in Spore, it's still Spore related. I've seen plenty of Sonic creation threads, and just about any show or game with anime or Sci-Fi, someone has tried to make that in Spore.

The other day just out of curiosity I looked to see how many versions of Serenity from Firefly were out there... uh, Lots.

That stuff just makes me smile.

The Battayn Huntmaster won the Maxis GA captain's challenge, and part of the prize was Cactus made 3D renders of him. This was before they had the collada interface, and was the creation she used when writing it.

Spore 2 dosen't happen. It gets made by the countless programmers and employees at Maxis and EA who make the original Spore possible, who to us are pretty much like gods, for without them, we, the Spore players, would all be bored to death. If not for Spore, I would be outside right now, playing some lame outsider moron games. and I wouldn't be passioned about my almost untanned skin as white as snow. And everywhere that Mary went, I was sure to go.

In short, if Spore 2 was made, my parents wouldn't be impressed, and I'd grow a passion for nursery rhymes.

A new signature may be coming soon!

Well since Will left the company it is not really a major goal to make a 2nd one. Will was pushing for a lot of updates on it when he was with the team and i think if he would have stayed with the company we would have had a much better spore 2. Kinda like all the Sim's he was part of and what he turned sim's in to. Now they could do a spore 2 or a spore type game in a few years when there becomes time and a market for it on a scale that is worth the time.
Some times they take a long time before they bring a game back from the dead. I mean been a while since they did a simcity i think it was what 5 years now before thisone gets released. With that said the game idea is a great idea, there was a lot they could have done to make expansions like the sims to keep it going. I would think they will do a spore two but it wont be a pc based game it will be a tablet type game that is like 5 dollors that they can market to millions of people cheaply, and do cheap updates that will drive the game. Tablet type games is the new market for gaming and companys to push.

I play Spore on my old M1400 Motion Computing "tablet". It's actually rather fun since you are actually touching and pulling at the handles and leading creatures with the pen.

Well, It could still happen. Looking at what Maxis is working on now and the so called "january project" that should have been announced earlier this year, as well as the fact that they increased the Dr Pepper promotion from the end of 2010 to the end of 2011, 2013 seems like the only real hope for Spore. After about, say, late 2013/2014 is when I'll give up hope.

Shame, Spore has given me so much inspiration and raw enjoyment over the past 3 1/2 years. I remember getting it at christmas back in '08, running upstairs with my new laptop, installing it and playing it all day long for the first 2 months i had it. Spore isnpired me to write a series of sci-fi novels (which I haven't finished yet) and I remember ALL (yes ALL) of my creations; not by-heart but when I see them I instantly remember making them. Also, I associate Spore with the pleasant smell of leather.

Oh well, all things come and go I guess.

The January project was new Sim city. Not even Spore at all.

I also enjoyed Spore a great deal, since I don't see it is terribly limited (the way people who want multiplayer with a storyline and spelt-out goals seem to). I think it's tremendously creative and spent -- like you -- time to develop stories and depth to my creations.

In other words, you and I understood creating our own toys and playing with them, creating our own goals and stories to go with them.

Nice to remember how to PLAY!

The codebase for Spore is old. It doesn't allow for multi-processor architectures. This was not lack of foresight on EAxis part. Most companies were hit by it. But the code needs some major overhaul to work with newer machines. I hope also they put the work into it, when there is a consumer base to support it.
