The polar regions look feasible with today's tech.

EDIT: Not the tech now, but it's something our tech looks like it will branch out to in the near future.

20.... Million? I suppose we'll have to start with Mars, but as we gather the resources, we could make the minor planets entirely for laboratories. This way, tthe information studied & found could propel us ever more. Although MARS first.

It IS very far away, but these thing take time. People can be REAL impatient.....

Don't forget to introduce arcology when colonising Mars. Although planetwide terraforming would also allow us to move around.

Most people want things done within the amount of time humans will be around... Currently it would take approx. Eternity to get there, as the current propulsion moves you through the void of space, which isn't a void, at around slow, and the trip is about very very far. If you can wait for the probe to get there, and then for the signal to came back 20 million years later. ^.^

If we terraform Mars, it will probably be a near copy of Earth's Environment. There would be no need, to put it simply.

I think we should colonize Europa after Mars is done. We'll try to launch a ship from Mars and get to Europa. Lets see about that!
