Patch and Game Issues

Still no fix for the Mac patch? I don't really understand how you can screw up a Mac patch. Macs are limited to a very low amount of configurations. So how in gods name can a problem like this not be discovered before release. I don't like to beta-test stuff I payed for and that is not labeled as beta.

Both the MAC and PC patches worked fine for me. The mac patch takes a REALLY long time to complete.

So did we all test the patch for them

After 2 hours to install 5% I gave up. You are not gonna tell me that installing a patch takes 2h10 min

anyways, I realy hope they fix these "Issues" sooner then later.

Anybody know if the D2D version of Spore is now the patched version? I want to roll back, but I'd rather not do the huge download if it's just going to install the same version...

EA, could you please release the Mac patch as a .dmg or something? The patcher froze and I had to force quit. Now the game won't run.

Finally, we get some acknowledgement of our problems. Thank you, MaxisKane. If there is any way we can help, let us know. The game ran (and after a reïnstall runs) fine, until I try to include the patch. I've never seen something that horrible, and I'd like to help you guys prevent that from happening again.

I have a vista, and every once and a while (About 10-30 minutes) my game will freeze. A windows popup comes up and says "Windows has Encountered a Problem" and "Spore is shutting down" and a whole bunch of bullshit like that. So then i loose all of my progress, and have to try remember what i did and redo it.

Oh btw, the only reason why im on here is because I go on the internet everytime it crashes...

Hey i have a question about the patch... so i downloaded the patch not while the game was running but on the link and it said u need creature creator. then i downloaded the trial of it (i dont know if that would make it work but still) and then the cc said i cant install it because i have spore. would i have to uninstall the game and reinstall it just to get the cc and possibly the patch?

If they bypassed the EADM they'd get things done SO much faster.

I'll be providing direct links to all future patches in my siggy since I think the amount of time I waited to get it downloaded and installed is unfortunate, but to expect a million customers to do the same is criminal
